Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Claire (Hayley Erin) have come a long way since her duplicitous granddaughter came to Genoa City under a fake name and Claire helped Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) kidnap her grandmother.

It's been declared that Claire (AKA Eve Nicole) was duped by her aunt and should be forgiven. Nikki is showing Claire her continued support by pointing her in the right direction. Claire's not a child, but she is a relative newcomer to both Genoa City and the inner workings of the Newman family. She may not be able to fully comprehend just how ruthless her grandfather Victor (Eric Braeden) can be. Claire's gotten a little bit of an earful from Kyle (Michael Mealor).

Will Nikki's direction give Claire additional insight? Hopefully, Victor will not succeed in breaking up Kyle and Claire, but they'll have to hold tough.

When Sally Met Billy's Proposal

Sally's going to receive an interesting proposal from Billy (Jason Thompson) in today's episode. The word "proposal" usually indicates something of a romantic nature. However, this is Genoa City, where there are more business arrangements than couples. So, while Billy cares deeply for Sally (Courtney Hope), it's quite possible that this could be a proposal involving work. Or not. Perhaps Billy is going to ask Sally to marry him?

Either way, Sally's going to have to give him an answer. Is she going to enter a business arrangement with the Abbott heir? Or is she going to become Mrs. Billy Abbott?

Which Way to Go

Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) has gone through a lot over the last year. He's lost Heather (Vail Bloom), the love of his life, who was helping him raise his daughter, Lucy (Lily Brooks O'Briant).

The young man had to come to terms with the fact that Sharon (Sharon Case) did not kill Heather — Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Aunt Jordan were responsible. Did Sharon handle the aftermath in the best way? Maybe not.

Daniel also had to deal with the fact that his mother Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) was kidnapped and went through a horrible ordeal. He was powerless to help his mother. Now, he's going to find himself at a crossroads, which usually indicates that a decision will have to be made.

What will Daniel do next in life? He's going to have to make a decision, and the ramifications of that decision could affect not only himself but also those around him, including Phyllis and Lucy.
