Sharon sat on her sofa trying to polish a silver bowl but couldn’t get a mark out. As she furiously scrubbed, “Nick” noted that she was just pushing down her guilt. Sharon told him that it wasn’t supposed to be like this, that Cameron told her to be strong and see it through. “You want me to tell the world I killed Heather and framed Daniel? I’d go to prison for the rest of my life! How could I do that?” Sharon cried to “Nick.”
“Nick” asked if it would be better if Daniel went to prison for a crime that Sharon committed. “You can’t forgive me, can you?” Sharon asked. “Nick” reminded her that he was her, just like Cameron. “Nick” asked if Sharon could live with what she did. He reminded her of the goodness in her. “Cameron was a part of me, so maybe this is who I am now, who I become,” Sharon wondered. “If that was the case, I wouldn’t be here. You can do the right thing for Lucy,” “Nick” suggested. Sharon said she hated what she had done and would feel guilty about it for the rest of her life, but she insisted it was an accident. “Was it?” Heather asked.
Sharon turned and saw Heather’s ghost in the dining room. She ran over and told her how sorry she was. “I’m still dead,” Heather snapped. She told Sharon that all the apologies in the world wouldn’t change the fact that she was still dead. “If you just let me go, none of this would have happened,” Sharon cried. “So it’s my fault?” Heather asked incredulously. Sharon insisted it was her fault and that she would give anything for it to not happen. “But it did, and you framed Daniel,” Heather told her.
“My daughter could lose her father. She lost her mother because of you. Only you could make it right,” Heather said angrily. Sharon yelled at Heather to go away. Heather noted Sharon was hiding behind her children. “What about my mine?” Heather asked. She wanted to know how Sharon could endanger Lucy’s stability. “What kind of mother are you? What kind of person are you?!” Heather yelled. Sharon cried for Heather to get out of her head. “I can’t keep doing this. I can’t keep seeing ghosts,” Sharon said.

“Nick” told her he was not a ghost; he was her lifeline. “I’m proof that Cameron is gone,” he added. “But his evil is alive and well,” Heather retorted. Sharon told Heather to get out again. “I’m not going anywhere, Sharon. No matter how hard you cry that you’re sorry, no matter where you go or what you do, you will never escape me. Every day. Every night. Every hour for the rest of your life, I will remind you what you did to me and my family,” Heather growled. Sharon screamed and threw the silver bowl at Heather, but she disappeared, and it hit the door. Sharon grabbed her things and ran out of the house.
At Society, Lily placed a video call to Jill, determined to be reinstated. Jill wasn’t pleased to find out that Billy hadn’t yet rectified the situation with Lily. Lily told Jill that Billy had only reached out to gloat to her that he would run Chancellor without her. Jill ranted that she told Billy to do one thing, and he made no effort.
Jill assured Lily that she wouldn’t let it stand and wanted Lily back at the helm with Billy immediately. Lily told Jill there was no coming back after what Billy did. Jill reminded Lily she wasn’t that innocent and had planned to double-cross Billy. Lily said she wouldn’t have fumbled the Odyssey 7 deal like Billy. “Fire Billy and reinstate me as CEO,” Lily told Jill.
Jill backed off her complaints about Billy and reminded Lily that he was still Jill’s son, and she wanted to give him a chance to succeed. Jill told Lily she would decide what to do when she came to Genoa City for Abby and Devon’s wedding. Lily warned that Jill didn’t have that much time as Victor was coming for Chancellor. Jill said she had known Victor a long time and wasn’t that concerned. Lily told Jill to do something before Victor took Billy and Chancellor down.
A local fair was set up in the park, so Devon and Abby took Dominic to trick or treat. While Dominic played, Abby told Devon how sorry she was that Victor screwed over Lily and used Neil’s name to do it. “I’ll talk to him, father to daughter, and remind him we’re going to be family. He has to make it right. I don’t want anything to ruin our incredible day,” Abby said.
Mariah, Tessa, and Aria joined them and got caught up on the wedding plans. They wondered how Abby wasn’t stressing about the details. “By not doing anything,” Abby shrugged. She explained that Victor had taken over the wedding planning since the venue fell through. Devon added that they weren’t allowed to know anything. “That’s very Victor,” Mariah said. Lily appeared and asked if she could speak to Devon alone.
After Devon and Lily left, Abby said she heard about Daniel’s arrest. Mariah and Tessa said it didn’t add up as they saw Daniel that night, and he seemed so optimistic after everything. Abby didn’t know what that meant, so they told her about Sharon’s mental health issues. Mariah said Sharon seemed back on track, and hopefully, like Ashley, she was out of the woods.
Across the park, Lily told Devon that she called Jill and wanted to be reinstated, but Jill only offered for her to be a co-CEO with Billy. Lily was infuriated that Jill, Nikki, and Victor kept telling her they admired her talent but then jerked her around and wanted her to take a back seat. “Why is it so hard to get back what’s mine?” Lily complained. Devon was taken aback. “Because it isn’t yours,” Devon said.
Devon reminded Lily that the company that was hers had her name on the building, and it was called Winters. Devon warned Lily that things at Chancellor were about to get ugly with Victor. “The last place you need to be in is in the middle of their war. Come back where you belong,” Devon told his sister. “You sound like Victor, and you’re pushing every button I have,” Lily fumed.
Devon didn’t appreciate being compared to Victor, but Lily was tired of people pushing her around and telling her what they wanted her to do like a mindless pawn. Devon didn’t think that was anyone’s intention and asked her to walk away from Chancellor and find new challenges. “You could do amazing work at your family’s company,” Devon added. Lily accused Devon of wanting her to play it safe.
Devon understood where Lily’s anger was coming from but wanted her to step back and think logically. Lily ranted that Victor and Nikki used their dad and Katherine to manipulate her. “I’ve been cheated out of a company, but I’ll get it back,” Lily insisted. Devon told her whatever she decided to do, he would support her. “But promise me you won’t let your anger for Victor and Nikki blow up at our wedding,” Devon asked. “I honestly can’t make that promise, so maybe I should just skip it entirely,” Lily said.
“Seriously? You’d skip my wedding?” Devon asked, stunned. “Okay, then they shouldn’t come,” Lily snapped. Devon reminded her that Victor was the father of the bride. He asked Lily not to make a decision out of anger and said it would break his heart if Lily didn’t show up. “I know. And I love you, but I can't make any promises right now,” Lily said before leaving.
Devon returned to Abby and Dom. “I can tell by that look things didn’t go well,” Abby noted. Devon said he wanted to help Lily, but it seemed impossible.
As Sharon drove in her car, she relived the night that Heather died. She remembered finding her on the ground, wrapping her body, and dumping it over the bridge, then planting the evidence in Heather’s apartment. “I did everything Cameron said. He said it would be okay and I would be safe,” Sharon cried. “You’ll never be safe again. Forever, Sharon, you and me,” Heather said from the back seat. Sharon looked horrified as she watched Sharon in the rearview mirror.
Billy walked into Crimson Lights and spotted Chelsea, Adam, and Connor on the patio. Sally mused that it was a good thing because the three of them seemed happy together.
Connor saw Billy and Sally and came over in his doctor’s costume. He said that he was going to a party with Johnny and that Adam would drop them off. Connor tried to convince Adam and Chelsea to come with him. He noted to Billy and Sally that he had had real conversations with his parents about all four of them and their relationships ending, which made him feel better about everything.
Victoria arrived with Johnny, and Sally said she was going to go. Billy walked her to the door and asked if she would like to meet him for a drink later. Sally agreed but looked concerned. Chelsea went upstairs to get something for Connor, and the boys played a video game on the patio.
With just Victoria for an audience, Adam and Billy started to take shots at one another about being a mama’s boy failure (Billy) and a daddy’s mini-me (Adam). Victoria told them both to grow up. Connor and Johnny returned, so they stopped arguing. Adam said he’d drop off the boys at the party, and Billy offered to pick them up.
Once alone, Victoria asked Billy what all the tension was about. Billy admitted they had all broken up because Chelsea and Adam slept together in Baltimore. Victoria sympathized and knew how much more it must have hurt Billy that it was Adam. “Maybe it had to be Adam,” Billy wondered as Chelsea overheard.
Billy told Victoria that Sally believed they had taken a hit for the greater good. “You had your hearts broken for a bigger purpose?” Victoria asked. Billy said Connor needed his family more than ever, and maybe Chelsea felt that instinctively, whether she wanted to admit it or not. While Chelsea listened, Billy suggested that maybe Adam and Chelsea were meant to be.
When Adam entered the Athletic Club, he saw Sally having a drink at the bar. He went over to her and apologized for it being awkward earlier. Sally told Adam that when she saw him and Chelsea with Connor, she realized they belonged together as a family. Adam said Chelsea would strongly disagree. “That’s just her guilt for the way it all happened, and what better way to punish herself than to deny herself happiness,” Sally suggested. Sally added that she thought, on some level, Chelsea knew that she was meant to be with Adam. “So — and I mean this sincerely — I wish you and Chelsea the best. And your family,” Sally said before taking her drink and walking away.
Sharon tried to compose herself before walking into the park. Mariah asked if she was okay. Sharon said it was nothing that a hug from her granddaughter wouldn’t cure. Sharon was enjoying talking to Aria, but her expression changed to horrified when she spotted Heather standing by the park entrance sign.
