At the ranch house, Victor and Nikki welcomed Cole, Victoria, and Claire for Thanksgiving. Kyle called Claire, who hoped to see her on the holiday. Claire told Kyle she could slip away for a little while, but Summer overheard and asked if she was going to see Harrison. Claire confirmed her plans and asked if Summer minded, but she said she didn’t and planned to go by the Abbott’s as well.
Nick joined his family at the ranch house and explained that Christian was at the barn with Katie and Johnny. When Adam, Chelsea, and Connor arrived, Nikki gave Chelsea and Connor a tour of the house. Victor asked Adam if they were going to be a family again but Adam had no idea what might happen between him and Chelsea.
Nick told Cole that Faith was having a quiet day with her mom and that Sharon wasn’t up to a big to-do. Cole and Victoria agree with Nick not to discuss Sharon.
Victor asked Claire about her day with Nikki at Abbott-Chancellor and if she planned on staying. Claire quietly told Victor that she knew how he had pushed out Billy and what he had done to Kyle at Glissade. Victor assured her he would tell her the whole story one day. Claire thought Lily got a raw deal. Nikki joined them and reiterated her regrets regarding Lily.

Victor explained to Claire that he believed Lily belonged at Winters and that making Nikki CEO of Abbott-Chancellor was a signal to the world that Nikki was back and a force to be reckoned with. Victor said that to understand him, Claire had to understand that Victor grew up in an orphanage and that the family’s happiness meant everything to him. Nikki said to Claire that she hoped that she would join her at Chancellor. Claire said she would and wanted to learn from the best.
Nikki announced that Claire would be joining her at Chancellor. Victoria and Cole were surprised, but they said if Claire was happy, then so were they. Claire told Cole and Victoria she was going to slip away to wish Harrison a happy Thanksgiving.
Summer also said she was going. Nick reminded her that despite Heather being gone there is still a lot to be thankful for and asked her to pass along a hello from him.
Nick told Chelsea he was surprised to hear about her breaking things off with Billy and asked if it was because something was going on with Adam. Chelsea said there was nothing going on between them. Adam joined them and asked Nick why he was discussing his personal life. Nick and Adam ended up arguing about Adam going to see Sharon after Nick asked him not to.
Cole and Victoria expressed their reservations to Nikki about Claire getting caught in the crosshairs of one of Victor's inevitable business decisions. Nikki said she loved her first day at the office, but when Billy was packing his things, he looked angry and bitter and like a man with nothing left to lose.
Victor and Nikki gathered everyone and wanted them to know what was in their hearts. Victor said he would continue to work hard to ensure his family was cared for, protected, and loved because family meant everything to him. Victor asked everyone to raise a glass and toasted it "to family" as they all clinked glasses.
Nate invited Amy over to his apartment for Thanksgiving. Amy asked if Nate had made a decision regarding the search for Damian, to which Nate shared he had, but since they were both alone on Thanksgiving, they should share a meal.
Amy told Nate she hoped her staying in town wasn't putting added pressure on him. He told her it hadn’t affected him or his thinking. Audra arrived and was introduced to Amy. Nate told Amy he’d look for Daniel—but nothing more. Amy emotionally told Nate he made this one of the most thankful Thanksgivings she had ever had.
Amy asked Nate what made him decide to search for his half-brother. Nate said his DNA test on the lock of Damian’s hair confirmed he had a brother. Amy said a part of her may find peace once Damian was found if he could forgive her after he learns the truth.
Nate, Audra, and Amy sat at the table. Amy recalled when Damian nursed a bird back to health after it hit a window. Amy started feeling faint, so Nate helped her get back to the couch. Amy admitted she may have lied a little when she said she wasn't afraid of dying.
At the Abbott mansion, Ashley told Traci and Alan that she was worried that Thanksgiving could be hard on Jack, given the difficulty he’s having with Diane. Ashley was thankful Diane was out of their lives for good.
They hear Jack cheerily call out “Happy Thanksgiving!” and are shocked to find him with Diane in the foyer. Traci asked what was happening, so Jack and Diane come clean about pretending to fight and how they were very much in love.
Diane apologized for everything they put the family through and explained how they felt they had no choice. Ashley was visibly upset and hoped it was worth what they put Kyle through. Jack wasn’t sure if Kyle would be joining them for Thanksgiving.
Kyle arrived at the Abbott mansion and deduced everyone knew the truth as Diane was there. He noted that he planned to spend the day with his family, but it would take more than a slice of pumpkin pie for things to be okay between him and his parents.
Harrison was thrilled when Claire came over. Summer watched awkwardly from the foyer when Harrison showed everyone his drawing of a turkey. Jack asked Summer about Phyllis. She shared that she was joining Lucy and Daniel at the hospital later to bring her some turkey sandwiches. Diane said that sounded wonderful, and Ashley quipped that it almost sounded as if Diane meant it. Before leaving, Summer saw Kyle and Claire looking close and comfortable together.
In the dining room, Traci told Jack that she could see Jack was happy. She could also tell Jack was disappointed that Billy hadn’t come home for the holiday. Jack hoped that Billy would walk through the door any moment. Ashley was completely unimpressed with Jack and Diane’s big reveal and told Jack it was going to take a minute to reconcile what he’d put everyone through.
Claire told Kyle she had to go back to the Newmans. She assured Kyle that she told Victor how unhappy she was with what Victor had done to Kyle and Lily.
As everyone sat down to eat in the dining room, Diane had an announcement to make. She promised Harrison not to come between him and a drumstick. Ashley suggested that Diane promise everyone would enjoy the day.
Diane told everyone she wanted to give Kyle something for which he could be thankful. She explained she wouldn’t return to Jabot and that it was time for Kyle to take back his rightful place alongside his father.
Diane explained that she would give up her position at Jabot for him if it meant them finding their way back together and promised to never stop trying to make it up to him. Diane reiterated that everything she and Jack did was for Kyle. “I love you, Kyle. And however long it takes for you to really know that, I will be right here, ready to be a family again,” Diane cried. “To family,” Jack said as he raised his glass, and they all cheered.
