Billy and Phyllis discussed his business ideas at Billy's house. When Billy mentioned what they would do differently from Newman Media, Phyllis balked. She reminded him that if he was just using the company to attack Adam and Victor, she was out.
Billy told Phyllis they couldn’t just ignore the competition. Phyllis understood but said that she and Daniel didn’t want to be caught up in a corporate duel. Billy told Phyllis that Victor used Newman Media to bully and cut down the competition, but that wasn’t who they were going to be. Phyllis was more excited about the prospects of it all when Billy explained he wanted to be the anti-Newman Media.
Daniel met with Summer at Crimson Lights and told her about Billy’s job offer. He felt pressured that Phyllis was so wrapped up in it. Summer advised him to let Phyllis down easy before a press release went out. Daniel didn’t have faith in Billy and wished he had an alternative to work with just Phyllis instead. He noted their mom was a handful, but the two of them balanced each other out and thought it would be fun to work with her.
Phyllis came in and happily joined her kids. She excitedly told them that she had just met with Billy and Abbott Communications was happening. She told them that Billy had great ideas, and it was the perfect opportunity for them. Phyllis explained that Billy was setting a solid foundation so she and Daniel could just create. She asked Daniel to shelve his distrust and do it with her.

Summer cautiously suggested that, given their past, working together might not be the best idea for Phyllis and Billy. Phyllis agreed that they may have blown things up in the past, but they had mellowed and knew their similarities and differences. Phyllis insisted Billy had fresh ideas, but Daniel believed it would just be a way to go against the Newmans. Phyllis encouraged Daniel to do what he loved, and then everything would come together for him. She got emotional, saying that their family had gone through hell, and she believed it was the key to a turning point for them.
Phyllis thought Daniel needed something to focus on. She reminded him that he was upset before Heather died because he’d lost his job and no one would hire him. She said Billy's start-up was a great opportunity. Phyllis reiterated that she would do anything for her kids. She asked Daniel what it would take to convince him to team up with her and Billy.
Claire came over to the Abbott mansion to join Kyle, Diane, and Jack for lunch. Jack told her there was a tradition of sitting around the family’s dining room table. As they ate, John Abbott’s name came up in the conversation, and Claire said she would love to hear more about him.
Jack told Claire some anecdotes about his dad and said that it was their job to continue making memories in the house. He hinted that she might be part of the mission one day. Billy came in and asked to speak to Jack alone. Billy told Jack that he knew what he wanted to do for his next business venture and how to do it. Billy asked Jack if he was ready to fund it, as he had offered.
Billy laid out his plans to Jack and told him he’d sent him an email with all the details. He promised it had nothing to do with revenge on Victor or Adam. Billy was grateful for Jack’s support. Jack apologized for the past but said he had faith in Billy and that their dad would be proud. Billy was emotional, and hearing that was all he ever wanted. Jack told Billy he and his business were going to be great.
Billy told Jack that he and Sally were leaving for Paris later that night. Jack advised Billy with the words of their father: “Always believe in yourself because I do. That’s never going to change.”
In the living room, Diane told Claire and Kyle that she wanted to spruce up the place. Kyle didn’t think Jack would be on board with that, as he liked things to stay the same to keep up with traditions.
At the ranch, Adam and Chelsea walked into the house with Connor and told him, “Welcome home.” They suggested he start moving in as he had a half-day at school and wondered how he felt about it. Connor agreed he’d been concerned about living somewhere so big and vast, but he was excited.
Chelsea and Adam were happy about Connor’s transition, but Chelsea reminded Adam again that they needed to be aware that, despite what they said, Connor might misconstrue their relationship as more than platonic. Adam got snippy about it, saying he knew how she felt the first few dozen times she said it. He sarcastically apologized for how tortuous it was for her to be there. Chelsea quipped that it would be easier having her own wing. Chelsea noted that they were both still healing after their breakups with Sally and Adam.
Chelsea admitted it was daunting to live in Victor’s house. Adam assured her it was Victor’s former place, and now they could make it their own. Chelsea said living on the compound was unnerving but was glad that Connor could be safe and play with his cousins or play ice hockey. Adam assured Chelsea that he’d explained to Victor that it was a platonic relationship. Connor came in and asked to see Victor. Chelsea wasn’t going to go with Connor and Adam, but Connor told her that Victor would want to see the whole family.
At the main house, Victoria checked in on Victor, who was sitting in the living room, thinking. Victor shared that he was thinking about how he’d almost died. “Life doesn’t always go according to how we plan it, does it?” Victor asked. He told Victoria they had to talk about the future. Victoria didn’t want to think about the day when he or Nikki wasn’t with them anymore.
Victoria apologized for getting into an argument earlier about Claire and Kyle, but Victor thought she was just as stubborn as he was. Victoria cried that she never wanted to lose Victor. “I adore you, but someday, you’ll have to,” Victor soothed. Victoria asked her dad if they ever parted ways upset with one another, to know that she loved him.
Victoria insisted that they didn’t need to talk about life after he or Nikki passed away for a very long time. Victor said you never know what could happen in life, and it needed to be discussed. Victor said that it would make him happy if all of his children got along. Victoria agreed that it was impressive to see Adam step in to protect their dad. Victor said Adam was showing them that he was the man he believed he could be. Victoria told her dad that she was wary as Adam is always better when things are going well but when they don’t, he wants to burn everything to the ground.
Connor, Adam, and Chelsea surprised Victor, who was happy to see them. Victor assured Connor he never had to worry about being safe there. Connor asked if he could check out the game room. Once alone, Victor asked if Chelsea and Adam were all moved in. He asked for time alone with Adam, so Victoria and Chelsea left the room. Victor told Adam he needed something from him.
Victor asked Adam to downplay what happened on the ranch. He said to just say an intruder got shot on the property and not to mention names or Jordan. Adam told him he’d assumed that would be what Victor wanted and took care of it already.
In the atrium, Chelsea asked Victoria how she was doing after the ordeal with Ian. Chelsea told Victoria that she had helped her decide to move in. After Connor, Adam, and Chelsea left, Victor told Victoria that he was still hopeful Chelsea and Adam would reunite.
Back at home, Connor told his parents how happy he was to be there and that they were all together. Adam, Chelsea, and Connor had a group hug.
