At the Abbott mansion, Diane was happy about the situation with Kyle and wanted Jack to feel the same way. Jack noted that Kyle asked to speak to Diane privately to work things out, but he wasn’t invited to be part of it. As happy as Jack was that Kyle owned up to his responsibilities in the situation, he was cautious about moving forward.
Jack wasn’t sure Kyle was offering full forgiveness. Diane encouraged Jack to make the first move and reach out to Kyle rather than wait for him to come around. Jack thought it was significant that Kyle’s first heart-to-heart was with Diane. He didn’t want to push anything and have it blow up in his face, so he wanted to wait for Kyle to decide to come talk to him.
Jack was sure Kyle knew he wouldn’t reject him if he wanted to progress their relationship. Diane pointed out that Jack has always been Kyle's source of strength, and he is most likely looking for his approval before letting down his guard. She said Kyle probably needed to know that Jack wanted him at Jabot.
Jack told Diane he would make the first move if that’s what she thought it would take. Diane knew it would mean the world to Kyle and thought it could be the fresh start they needed. Jack wanted them to get back to being the family they used to be.

Diane admitted that she was unsure if Kyle truly forgave her or understood why she did what she did when she pretended to be dead. She said it would mean a lot if Jack could try to get through to Kyle as well.
Jack and Diane shared a drink and toasted to each other. They talked about Diane’s next steps in her career. She suggested that she take time off to do some shopping or golfing. Jack said he had an idea.
Jack wanted to roll Glissade into Jabot and have her run it. He wanted to reimagine Jabot’s classic fragrances and fashion from his father’s era and put her twist on them. Diane was surprised but accepted the offer. Jack said he wanted to see Victor’s face when he found out that they won. Jack said it would be his gift to Diane. Diane laughed and thanked Jack for believing in her.
Outside of Society, Kyle and Claire bumped into Jordan, who was in disguise. Claire asked if they had met before. Jordan used a fake accent to say she didn’t think so and scurried away, which gave Claire an odd feeling. Inside, they saw Faith looking very sad, and Claire thought they should talk to her.
Kyle and Claire asked Faith if they could join her at the bar, and she agreed. Kyle and Claire offered support and to lend an ear if Faith needed it. She thanked them but had to leave to check in on her mom.
Kyle and Claire sat down, and Kyle showered her with compliments about how she had changed him and his life. Claire shared that she could never let anyone get close or trust people. Making love to Kyle and being that close with someone was overwhelming, and she got emotional when explaining it.
Kyle wondered if she had any regrets, but she said everything she felt was the opposite of remorse. Summer came in behind them and stopped in her tracks when she saw them being affectionate.
Claire noted that Summer wasn’t happy about them being together. Kyle thought they had a good thing going and shouldn’t let Summer distract them. “Just feel good, that’s all you have to do,” Kyle advised.
Summer came up to their table and said that she couldn’t help but notice how much closer Claire and Kyle seemed to be. She wanted to know what was going on between them.
Kyle credited Claire for being supportive when he was feuding with his parents. He said because of her, his family had reconciled, and then noted that it was a work in progress but again said that Claire was being instrumental in helping him navigate the situation.
Summer was happy for Kyle that things were working out with Jack and Diane and suggested his explanation alluded that he and Claire were just friends. Satisfied, Summer excused herself and left the restaurant.
Once alone, Kyle admitted that it might push buttons for Summer that they’re together. Claire wondered why Kyle said that he had made up with Jack and Diane, then walked it back a moment later. She asked for clarity on whether or not Kyle had forgiven his parents.
Kyle admitted that all of the built-up anger and resentment was still there, and he couldn’t seem to shake it, but he wanted to. He said that Claire had a way of grounding him and keeping him calm, and he needed her to stick around. He wanted to get to the point where all the anger was gone, and all that was left was love.
At Crimson Lights, Nick told Sharon that he’d never known her to act this way and wanted a chance to prove it. Sharon said Heather was still dead because of her. Nick asked for time to have the medication tested, and wherever the truth led them was what they would deal with.
Nick told Sharon there could have been something wrong with the pills that she was taking. Michael agreed that it could be a strong defense. Nick wanted to wait for the toxicology report and see if it made things make sense. Nick said that Sharon would never convince him that she was a cold-blooded killer and told her to stop trying. “You took the pills. Your life turned to chaos,” Nick noted. He said he needed to understand it.
Nick pointed out that Sharon had no recollection of things she had done and couldn’t explain her blackouts. Michael asked who was investigating the pills. Nick admitted that he’d asked Chance to give the pills to a lab off the record. Michael worried that if they found something, it could be used against Sharon.
Michael worried that Chance wouldn’t keep things off the record as the D.A. wanted a conviction. It also didn’t look good that Nick suddenly came up with evidence on her behalf, and it didn’t go through the proper channels.
Sharon agreed that she trusted Chance but thought Michael and Nick were avoiding the inevitable. She wanted the peace of a guilty plea to prepare herself and everyone else for the future. She said the uncertainty was unbearable on her nerves.
Nick told Sharon a list of milestones in their kids’ lives that she would miss out on if she went to prison. Sharon cried that she would do anything she could to be part of those things, but the odds were so slim. Nick said they had to hang in there until they exhausted every possibility. Michael agreed but wanted to talk to Chance and ensure they were all on the same page.
Once alone, Sharon cried to Nick that she was such a pain and was sorry he had to put up with her. Nick suggested they get out of there. They went to the park and got some fresh air. Sharon noted that the dirty looks she gets from the public is hard to take. She told Nick she would understand if he didn’t want any part of it. Nick assured her he wasn’t going anywhere. Sharon said it continued ot shock her that he supported her even though she was guilty.
Nick said he never said she was guilty and questioned if everything was how she thought. Sharon wondered how he would feel if it was proven she was homicidal. Nick didn’t believe it was possible. Nick said that she seemed completely sane at the moment. He believed something happened out of her control to cause all of it and was determined to find out what it was.
When Nick and Sharon returned, Faith was sitting in Crimson Lights. She told them about her conversation with Lucy and how upsetting it was. Faith wondered if Lucy was right and if Sharon would go to prison for the rest of her life. Nick said they were far from that and noted that Lucy was grieving.
Sharon wanted to address the elephant in the room and said that Faith must have questions about whether or not she was the monster people think she is. Faith didn’t want to think about it. Sharon suggested Faith go back to school so she wouldn’t be around for Sharon’s drama.
Faith said they could send her away, but she would just come back. She didn’t want to turn her back on her family, no matter how tough it got. Faith said that her kids were not abandoning her no matter what. Nick agreed and said that there was always hope that things would turn around.
