At Society, Abby and Devon were talking about their wedding plans when Phyllis interrupted. Phyllis threw a few jabs at Devon about Billy and how he no longer worked with Lily. Phyllis noted that they were hiring in the IT department at Hamilton-Winters, but Abby and Devon clarified that they would never welcome Phyllis back to the company. "Congrats for getting him to marry you," Phyllis concluded to Abby before leaving with the food she'd ordered.
At Billy's office, Chelsea surprised him with cookies to thank him for talking to Connor. She told Billy she wished he could forgive her, and she apologized again for hurting him. Billy accepted her apology but said he was angry at himself for not being able to get over it. Chelsea left when Phyllis interrupted.
Phyllis gave Billy the food she had picked up at Society, but he wasn't interested. He was solely business-focused and talked to Phyllis about boundaries. She asked if he was considering bringing her on board. Billy said he would hire her as a distant second-in-command, but being a partner wasn't on the table.
Billy told Phyllis it wasn't a democracy, and she wouldn't get a vote on anything from a merger to the coffee cream they use in the break room. Billy made it clear that he was the only one in charge, and her role was to listen to what he needed her to do and give her ideas. "I'm the one calling the shots at Abbott-Chancellor. I want you to stay in your lane. Can you do that?" Billy asked. Phyllis said she would sleep on it.
At Sharon's, Nick was relieved when Esther called and said that Sharon was at Crimson Lights and didn't seem like herself. Nick raced out to Crimson Lights while Mariah and Faith discussed being scared about their mom's mental health.
Sharon told Daniel she didn't want to fight or talk about Lucy. She said she knew she was being a bit erratic toward Daniel's family lately. Daniel said that she was consistently hostile. He said that he could see her rage behind her words.
Daniel said Sharon had made things so awful that he and Heather had considered moving away. Sharon's expression darkened as she told him that was a good idea. Cameron appeared and said Sharon was only saying that so she didn't have to do what she knew she needed to do to Daniel.
Sharon assured Daniel that whether or not he and Heather moved away, she wouldn't be going off on him or his family again. Daniel told Sharon that he could tell by her demeanor that she couldn't stand the sight of him. Nick interrupted, so Sharon softened her voice and innocently claimed that she wanted peace between her and Daniel.
Daniel had a text from Heather about discussing their plan with Lucy, so he left. Nick told Sharon he would give her a ride home, but she insisted she was fine and would drive her own car. After Nick left, Cameron told Sharon if she weren't careful, her family would put her in Fairview. Cameron pointed out that Daniel might be leaving town, and her family might trick her into treatment. Cameron told Sharon that it might be her only chance and that she needed to "do this now."
Adam had dinner with Connor, who told him about his conversation with Billy. Adam told Connor that he could see Billy's point when Billy said he was too busy to have a relationship. Connor told Adam that his OCD was his superpower, as it gave him the ability to see things that others didn't. Connor said it seemed like something bad had happened that no one wanted him to know about. He wondered if something had happened between Adam and Chelsea that had messed things up. Adam reiterated that Connor might be what Adam and Chelsea had in common, but he was not the cause of the breakups between Chelsea and Billy or between him and Sally.
Chelsea joined Adam and Connor at the Athletic Club. Connor asked his mom if she was giving up on her relationship with Billy. Chelsea said she wanted to work things out, but Billy didn't right then, and she needed to respect that. Connor told his parents that he liked Sally and Billy, but he liked Adam and Chelsea together better. "You may not be ready to admit it to one another, but I think you both like it better, too," Connor said.
Nick returned to Sharon's and told Mariah and Faith he had seen Sharon. Mariah and Faith thought it was good that Sharon had apologized to Daniel, but Nick said she had seemed to be placating everyone. Nick knew Sharon was struggling to manage her memories but didn't think it was a fight she could win in her current state.
