At the ranch house, Victoria visited her mom. Nikki told Victoria that she kept recalling good memories from when they were in the original house. Victoria noted that she hadn’t seen Nikki that happy in a while. Nikki admitted she was at peace and said Victor always did whatever it took to give her her heart’s desire.
Victoria wondered if there had been any news on the Chancellor takeover. Nikki told her that all she knew was Victor assured her he would get it done. Victoria reminded Nikki that this takeover affected her kids. Nikki understood but said that Jill had given Billy enough chances, and whatever came his way, he deserved.
At Crimson Lights, Devon wondered if Lily had reconsidered attending the wedding. He asked Lily to put her feelings about Victor aside, for Devon’s sake and for Dominic’s, and to be at the wedding.
Lily wondered if this was Devon’s new thing now, to be badgering her until he got something he wanted. She apologized for being a brat and said she would be at his wedding. “I will definitely have a smile on my face when I see Abby turn my brother into an honest man,” Lily promised. Billy interrupted and asked if he and Lily could talk. “I don’t think she wants to talk to you,” Devon snapped.

Billy dismissed Devon and turned his attention to Lily. “What I would like to know is if you accept my apology and my invitation to join me at Abbott-Chancellor?” Billy asked Lily. Devon raised his hand. “I have a question,” he said. Devon wanted to know how Lily could trust Billy after he did what he did. Billy pointed out that he and Lily shared the same scars from each other.
Devon noted that Lily’s motivation was to protect the company, whereas Billy’s was to protect his ego. “Pretty clear I’m not talking to you, Devon,” Billy said. Devon suggested that Billy return the company to Jill. They continued to argue until Lily interrupted and said she could speak for herself.
Devon left, and Lily told Billy she had an answer for him. Lily said that just like Jill and Katherine, Chancellor was her legacy, too. She added that she didn’t want to see Victor and Nikki chop it to a million pieces. Lily said she was willing to come back to Chancellor because she didn’t want Victor to win. However, Lily had two conditions.
Lily stipulated that Phyllis could not return to the company, and Billy agreed. Her second condition was that she and Billy were equal partners with equal say. Billy agreed, but she wanted it in writing. Billy said he would have the legal team draw it up. “Should we go tell my mom the good news?” Billy asked.
At Victor’s office, Victor asked Jill if she was ready to make a deal. Jill noted that he wanted Billy out and didn’t want Lily back. Jill wondered if Victor expected her to run Chancellor again. “Your heart is not as strong as you’d like it to be. You’re not in a position to run a company of that size, I’m sorry to say,” Victor said.
Jill knew that Victor must have known about her health when he contacted her. Now that Victor could see she was alive and kicking, she wondered what he wanted. “Let’s just cut to the chase. Exactly what are you proposing?” Jill asked.
“I want you to sell the company back to me at well above market value,” Victor admitted. Jill told him she always suspected he had seller’s remorse. Jill wondered who he would put in charge if she did agree to the deal. Victor said, "Nikki."
Jill disagreed that Katherine would want Nikki running Chancellor Industries. She realized that Nikki knew about Victor’s plan to take over the company and make her CEO. Jill assured Victor that Chancellor was much more than just a company to her. She got emotional as she said she had given everything for the company, including her relationship with her son. Victor told Jill that giving the company to Nikki to run would honor the legacy of both Jill and Katherine.
Victor wrote down a number and handed it to Jill. He said that was what he was willing to pay for Chancellor. Jill looked and said it was a big number. Jill agreed to consider it. After Jill left, Victor called Nikki. She was in the atrium and said she felt like she was living in a dream at the new house. Victor said he had a productive day and would tell her all about it.
At the Abbott mansion, Abby told Ashley that although she missed out on some of the planning, she wanted to make up for that and catch up with her mom. She shared with Ashley that she and Devon had gone cake tasting and had narrowed it down to two choices. Ashley asked which one she chose, and Abby handed her a fork for the sample cake she got from the baker. “Let’s find out together,” said happily.
Abby continued to update her mom about the red velvet cake, music, decorations, and dress. “It’s going to be the perfect day for the perfect bride,” Ashley said. She added that Abby and Devon were also the perfect match.
Ashley got teary-eyed when she thought of Abby walking down the aisle the next day. She was grateful for all of the support she had received. Abby ensured that Ashley was up to the emotions of the wedding. They talked about what a great guy Devon was and how happy Abby was with him.
Abby shared that Lily and Victor had been fighting over Chancellor, and it was so bad that Lily might not attend. They both hoped she would come to the wedding.
Devon arrived, and he confirmed that Lily was coming to the wedding. Devon surprised Ashley with his grandmother’s bracelet as the mother of the bride. The bracelet had a locket with Abby’s picture in it. “I can’t accept this; it should stay with your family,” Ashley said. Devon assured her it would. “That’s why I’m giving it to you,” he said. Ashley and Abby were tearfully pleased and grateful. “I just want to remind you that although Abby is going to be my wife, she will forever be your little girl,” he explained.
Abby put the bracelet on Ashley’s wrist. She thanked Devon and then went upstairs to rest. Devon and Abby hugged and kissed and said how much they couldn’t wait for their wedding the next day.
At Society, Nick asked Lauren to help him convince Phyllis that she was out of line with her accusations against Sharon. Lauren said she had been trying to do that before he got there. Nick wasn’t surprised that Phyllis wasn’t listening to Lauren, either. They told Phyllis that they understood that she was desperate for the killer to be anyone but Daniel. “Sharon is not the one who murdered Heather,” Nick said.
Phyllis retorted that she knew she was right and that proving Sharon was guilty was the only way to save her son. Phyllis added that she was surprised by both Nick and Lauren. “The two of you would do anything to save your kids, regardless of who was against you. Why are you guys doing this to me? Why aren’t you on my side?” Phyllis asked.
Lauren told Phyllis they supported her in helping Daniel. Nick added that the way she was going about it was not okay. Phyllis told Nick she would not stop and knew she was the only one willing to do something. “If you have a problem with that, stay out of my life,” Phyllis told Nick and Lauren before leaving. Once alone, Lauren and Nick agreed that Daniel could not be guilty, but they worried that Phyllis acted obsessed with Sharon.
Meanwhile, Sharon was at the Athletic Club, searching Phyllis’ room. She wondered what Phyllis had on her and where she hid it. After searching most of the room, Sharon decided she couldn’t find anything because no proof existed. Sharon was sure she had been careful covering her tracks but kept looking just in case. The door opened, and Phyllis caught Sharon searching in her room. “What a coincidence finding you here. Funny, I was just talking about you,” Phyllis told Sharon.
Phyllis accused Sharon of looking for the evidence that she told her she had that would lock her away for the rest of her life. Sharon admitted that she knew Phyllis was capable of fabricating evidence against her. Sharon used her calm, sing-song voice to gaslight Phyllis that she was somehow at fault for Sharon being in her room.
Sharon told Phyllis she was using her son’s tragedy to continue her vendetta against Sharon. Phyllis interrupted her. She told Sharon that she could do anything she wanted to her, but once she attacked her family, Sharon crossed a line. Sharon said she wouldn’t “listen to this madness” anymore and went to leave, but Phyllis stopped her.
Sharon insisted that Phyllis let her go. “What are you going to do, kill me like you killed Heather? You’re not going anywhere except to jail,” Phyllis snapped. She took out her phone and dialed. “Hello, Chance? Can you come to my room? Someone broke in,” Phyllis cried as she stared at Sharon.
Sharon was confident that keeping her there accomplished nothing. Phyllis admitted that in the beginning, she had the teeniest, tiniest doubt that Sharon was guilty, but now she was 100% sure. “You killed Heather. “There’s blackness in your soul. I can see it in your eyes,” Phyllis said.
Sharon decided she wasn’t going to stick around to listen to Phyllis tell lies to Chance that were fueled by anger and fear. She began to walk towards the door, but Phyllis stopped her. As they wrestled, Sharon pulled back and got dizzy. “Don’t pretend like you’re sick,” Phyllis scoffed.
Sharon sank to the couch and said she couldn’t breathe. “That’s because you can feel the walls closing in, Sharon,” Phyllis told her. Phyllis ranted to Sharon about how she was a cold-blooded murderer, and the world was going to know it. “I’m not,” Sharon said inaudibly before falling backward on the couch, unconscious.
When she awoke, Chance was asking if Sharon was okay. “Where am I? Did I black out again?” Sharon wondered. Sharon admitted it had happened a few times before in the past few weeks. “No, no, you don’t get to play the victim again!” Phyllis snapped. Chance said, “Phyllis, please.”
Phyllis rehashed how she walked in, and Sharon was in her room looking for things. “Is that true?” Chance asked. Sharon explained that Sharon had been making wild accusations about her. “And today, she said she had proof that she was going to give to you and the D.A.,” Sharon added. “What evidence?” Chance asked Phyllis. “She doesn’t have any!” Sharon snapped.
Chance told Phyllis that if she had evidence, it was time to provide it. Phyllis said she did have evidence but didn’t want to discuss it in front of Sharon. She asked Chance to take Sharon down to the station and arrest her. “Don’t tell me how to do my job. What’s the evidence?” Chance snapped.
Phyllis admitted she was bluffing to get Sharon to confess. Sharon told Phyllis she was crazy. “You were here looking through my things because I told you I had proof!” Phyllis snapped. Sharon told Phyllis she knew she was going to try to try to make her look guilty. “You murdered Heather, and you’re trying to frame my son!” Phyllis cried. She asked Chance to lock Sharon up.
“The only thing I can arrest her of is breaking and entering,” Chance said. Phyllis said to do it. Chance warned Phyllis that she was the one who looked out of control as Sharon smirked at Phyllis. Phyllis relented that she didn’t want to waste an arrest on breaking and entering when she was going to go down for murder. “Chance, am I free to go now?” Sharon asked sweetly. Chance agreed but suggested she have someone take her to the hospital to get her blackouts checked out.
After Sharon left, Chance warned Phyllis to cease and desist. “Stop interfering with a police investigation,” he said. Phyllis asked if that meant the case was still open. Chance snapped that he would advise Sharon to get a restraining order. Phyllis couldn’t believe he was making her out to be the bad guy. She asked Chance if he had lost his mind.
Sharon came down the Athletic Club stairs as Mariah and Nick walked in. They asked why she had been upstairs. Sharon told them she searched Phyllis’ room to see if she had evidence against her. Mariah was horrified, and Nick asked if it was necessary. Sharon complained that Phyllis called Chance and accused her of murdering Heather.
“You seriously broke into Phyllis’ room?” Mariah asked. Sharon didn’t see what choice she had. “You had plenty of choices, and this makes you look guilty,” Nick snapped. Sharon told them that Chance had taken her side. Mariah couldn’t believe that Chance didn’t arrest her on the spot for breaking and entering. “Maybe I should have. What you did was pretty stupid,” Chance told Sharon as he came down the stairs. He added that the more Sharon let Phyllis get under her skin, the more it seemed like she had something to hide. He warned Sharon to stay away from Phyllis before walking out the door.
Nick said things were getting out of control, but Sharon didn’t know what to do. “I have to protect myself,” she cried. Nick suggested she take the trip to Sedona, which she had been putting off for months. “Put as many miles as you can between you and Phyllis before this situation gets any worse,” Nick advised.
Upstairs, Phyllis thought about what happened. “Sharon, you can run, but you can’t hide. I know exactly what to do to prove you murdered Heather,” she said to herself.
