At Crimson Lights, Nick met with Summer, who was trying not to panic about Phyllis. Esther served them and noted that Sharo never told her she was leaving town. Chance joined them, but he didn’t see any clues that made him believe that Phyllis was missing. Summer insisted that given the situation with a new business with Daniel, it made no sense for her mom to leave town right now, and Nick agreed. Chance got a call that confirmed Sharon hadn’t checked into any spas or hotels in Sedona.

Nick noted that Sharon’s car wasn’t at the ranch, but Chance said she also hadn’t been on a flight, either. Summer compared it to when Sharon said she was in Madison but was in a motel in town. Nick insisted Sharon was in a good place, mentally and emotionally anyway. Chance agreed that Sharon wouldn’t make everyone worry. Nick said he couldn’t take care of the people he cared about when they were AWOL. He was 99.99% sure that what was going on with Sharon and Phyllis wasn’t good.

At Billy's, Daniel asked if he had any theories about where Phyllis could be. Billy said that when he was in Paris, Phyllis called him incessantly and was excited about the company. So for her to leave now, it didn’t make sense. Daniel revealed that Sharon also disappeared around the same time, and they both called home on burner phones at the same time. Daniel wondered if they left town together and didn’t want anyone to know.

Billy thought that Phyllis wanted to move past her and Sharon’s history. Billy thought they should consider that Phyllis and Sharon were taken together. They joked that whoever would put them in a room together would be begging for someone to take them back by now. Daniel thought the only two people crazy enough to take them would be Ian and Jordan, but they were both dead. Summer called Daniel and asked him to join them at Crimson Lights. Billy told Daniel he wanted to come with him.

At Crimson Lights, Chance reiterated his findings. Billy suggested that Sharon and Phyllis were together, but not by choice. The group weighed the options of it all, if it was someone else who took them or if they were the only two involved in their own disappearance.

Nick got a refill of coffee at the counter. Esther told him that Sharon had promised to cover her shift, and she had an important coffee ground reading to go to. Nick went back to the group and asked that everyone keep their disappearance between them. Chance took a call, and the police found Sharon’s car at Cassidy First, just not in its usual spot. Chance wanted the call information so he could try to track down the burner phone locations. Daniel noted it was starting to sound like an official investigation. Nick said he was trying to fight the instinct to assume the worst but it was getting hard to do that.

At the asylum, Sharon went through books to find a clue about who kidnapped them, but Phyllis thought it was a waste of time. She thought they wouldn’t have brought them there without a connection to it. Phyllis thought the asylum was a nod to Sharon’s mental health. Sharon wondered if their captor had been a doctor or patient there. Sharon and Phyllis bickered about whether or not she could find any type of clue.

Phyllis just wanted to get out of there and was willing to throw money at the person. She was tired of the riddles and didn’t care about them anymore. Sharon said that the riddles and everything about the kidnapping was by someone who knew a lot about their history. They hated how much they hated one another and might have been affected by it. Phyllis asked if she thought the person was a friend or family member.

Phyllis and Sharon argued about which one of them could be the cause of someone to come after both of them. Phyllis yelled at Sharon for framing Daniel. Sharon suggested that Phyllis would never let it go and that could be the reason they were kidnapped. They agreed that whoever was behind it had the resources to pull it off. Phyllis suggested it was Nick, as he was tired of their fighting and wanted them to finally work things out.

Sharon concluded that was ridiculous, so they argued about whose kids were capable of kidnapping them. Sharon accused Phyllis and Summer of doing it, so Phyllis snapped and told Sharon if she wanted a fight, she was all in.

Phyllis said it was probably a fellow patient of Sharon’s who heard her blame Phyllis for months. Sharon and Phyllis screamed at one another about their faults. Sharon said they could let their situation turn into a war as the kidnapper might want them at each other’s throats. Phyllis yelled at the speaker to tell her which one it was: finally get along or kill one another. She was ready for the latter.

Phyllis told Sharon to stop trying to purposely piss her off because she wasn’t sure what she was capable of anymore. Phyllis picked up a chair and said she was going to break the window with it and then scream as loud as she could to get help. Sharon wrestled with her for the chair and thought that if she did that, she’d get them both killed.

Sharon reminded Phylis that it was the middle of winter and that they would freeze to death. They sat down on the couch in defeat. Sharon apologized for her accusations. She told Phyllis that whoever was behind it, was someone who knew them and hated them. Phyllis asked the speaker if he was entertained. “I’m not here to be entertained. That’s not the point,” he spoke. He told them that the game was all that mattered and it was time to get back to it. “What is worth everything but costs nothing?” he asked.
