Phyllis was convinced that the bottle of water would kill her. "They said that this is a game. You and I both agreed that if they were going to kill us, they would have done it by now," Sharon said. She then spoke to "The Voice" — "Did I get the answer right? Is this the antidote? You need to answer me right now," she demanded.

Phyllis continued to argue as Sharon insisted she drink the yellow-labeled bottle. The two women bickered as expected, with Phyllis throwing the events of the last six months in Sharon's face. Phyllis still refused to the water. "I'm going to tell Summer and Daniel and Lucy that you would rather lose your life than have me be right about something," Sharon declared.

Finally, Phyllis drank the water. "Whether it kills me or not I don't have to listen to you and your self-righteous voice anymore," she shouted. After Phyllis calmed down and dozed off, "The Voice" returned. "Well done, Sharon. You solved the riddle," it said.

Sharon also had something to say: "Physically hurting us is out of bounds. If we're going to play, can we at least play nice?" She was greeted with nothing but microphone feedback. Sharon then had a revelation. "They wanted me to save you. This was a part of the game," she said.

Sharon explained her theory. "I could have just as easily been the one who drank the poison. The Voice had no way of knowing which one of us would pick up the tainted bottle," she reasoned. "It makes me wonder, if it had been me, would you have saved me?" Sharon asked. Phyllis had no idea how to be nice. "After everything that you have done to my family, maybe death by poison is what you deserve," she replied.

Sharon said that statement didn't surprise her, but Sharon didn't believe Phyllis would really let her die. Phyllis claimed that she might not have been able to solve the riddle because she wasn't as smart as Sharon, to which Sharon agreed. Sharon was also practical. "If hating me is the distraction you need right now, I'm good with it," she said. She still believed Phyllis would have saved her had the tables been turned.

Sharon admitted she had not yet forgiven herself for all she put Daniel through as Phyllis still wouldn't offer her any grace. "Surely, saving your life is worth something, right?" Sharon asked. Phyllis was in no mood to talk, claiming exhaustion after all her body had just gone through. "You will sleep and you will be safe because I am watching over you," Sharon said. Phyllis took Sharon's hand and thanked her for saving her life.

Once Phyllis was asleep, "The Voice" spoke. "Congratulations, Sharon, you are now one step closer to liberation," it said. "What's in it for you if Phyllis and I reconcile?" Sharon asked. "The satisfaction of accomplishment...think of this as an experiment and nothing more," it replied. Sharon was told to rest because the next day would be a busy one.

As a hysterical Phyllis cried about her horrible stomach pains, Sharon encouraged her to stay strong for her kids. Sharon begged her to drink a bottle of water with a yellow sticker on it. The bottle was different from the others and she was sure it could save Phyllis. "I am convinced the answer to the riddle is in this bottle," Sharon said while Phyllis hyperventilated.

Nick and Victoria met up at Society. He was still worried about Phyllis and Sharon, but Victoria reminded him that they didn't know for sure that the women were in trouble. Nick knew she was right but still had a nagging feeling something was very wrong. Nick admitted it had been hard for him to stay positive with everything that had happened to the family over the last year. Victoria insisted that they had to for their kids.

As Nick lamented, Victoria remained positive and counted the blessings in their lives. For example, Victor was recovering nicely from his gunshot wound and Nikki was sober and on a professional high. However, when Mariah texted looking for an update on Sharon, Nick became negative again.

Just then, Daniel appeared and had the same attitude as Nick. He was trying to tell himself everything was fine but "just not buying it." Victoria was forced to be the voice of sunshine for Daniel too as she tried to lift his spirits. He was worried about what to tell Lucy, who was asking questions about why her grandmother wasn't texting her back.

Soon, Chance arrived with some news. The police had looked at more security footage and saw Phyllis leaving The Athletic Club and a white can come down the street. They saw the same thing as Sharon left the Cassidy First offices.

Claire was touched by the romantic dinner Kyle set up for them at The Athletic Club. They made small talk about Jack and Diane's love for James Bond movies. Claire had not seen any of them so Kyle wondered if she was more of a rom-com type. The two shared some champagne and a kiss while toasting to alone time.

Unfortunately, Claire spotted Summer walking in. She approached their table and told Kyle that they needed to talk. Kyle tried to brush her away, but Claire said she understood and headed to the bar so they could talk. Summer was worried that Harrison might hear frightening things about Phyllis at school.

Kyle was surprised to hear that Phyllis really was missing. Summer explained the situation. Kyle assured Summer that Phyllis would be fine, but Summer feared Harrison would relate Phyllis' disappearance to when Jordan kidnapped him. "Kyle, we need to talk to our son. Tonight," she said.

At the bar, Claire sipped on a martini as Holden sat down next to her. The two began talking about James Bond and his choice of martinis. Holden ordered her a version of James Bond's favorite cocktail, a vesper. Holden proved his knowledge of cocktails, impressing Claire as they flirted.

Holden and Claire finally introduced themselves to one another, something Summer noticed and commented on when she and Kyle spotted them. "It looks like Claire's made a new friend," Summer observed. Kyle approached them and gave Claire an update on Harrison.

Kyle was surprised to see Claire with a martini, so she corrected him and told him it was a vesper. "This gentleman introduced me to them," Claire said, referring to Holden. Kyle immediately gave Holden the side eye. When Claire and Kyle returned to their table, Kyle assured Claire she had nothing to worry about when it came to Summer.
