Devon and Abby returned from their honeymoon, extra affectionate and happy, and went straight to Abby’s to get Dom. Ashley updated them on how she and Dom had spent their time together. Cuddled with Dom on the couch, Abby told Devon life didn’t get much better than that.

At Nate’s, Audra brought over pastries, and they discussed her lack of employment. Nate updated Audra that he hired a private eye to look for Damian. Nate shared that Amy’s doctors didn’t give her more than a year to live, and he wanted to give her the gift of seeing her son again.
Audra told Nate that she had doubts about Amy, but after meeting her on Thanksgiving, she said she liked her. Nate said that he was glad she felt the same way. He admitted he’d become intrigued about Damian and was looking forward to meeting him.
Nate shared that Damian had apparently had a complicated life and knew that he might not want to be found. Nate was frustrated that Amy’s choices prevented his father from knowing he had another son. Amy had told him that Damian needed help and thought if he could give him that, then it might make up for the lost opportunities for all of them.
Audra thought that Nate was putting pressure on himself, feeling like it was up to him to fix things for everyone. She compared it to a surgeon having a “God complex.” Nate appreciated Audra’s support and said that it erased any doubt he had about being with her.
Audra advised that he proceeded with caution and reminded him about her bad judgment with Tucker. Nate told Audra to follow his lead and assured her that being in a relationship wasn’t nearly as scary as she thought it was. They talked again about Audra finding a job, and Nate suggested that he try again with Devon, but Audra didn’t think it was a good idea. She wanted to be at Nate’s side while he found his brother.
Sharon and Faith had breakfast at Society but were too distracted to eat. They wondered who could have deliberately drugged Sharon. The thought made them afraid and worried.
Sharon wondered if they had been watched and suggested Daniel and Lucy were in danger, too. Sharon felt like everyone could be a target and lamented that she brought danger into Faith’s life again. Sharon told her daughter that it wasn’t safe in Genoa City, and she wanted her to go back to college. “I agree…totally. You need to go home. You need to pack your bags and get away from your homicidal whack job of a mother,” Phyllo said as she approached their table.
“Pack your bags, because there’s a murderer on the loose, and she happens to be your mom,” Phyllis added. Sharon told Phyllis she’d apologize for the rest of her life, but Phyllis thought the words were meaningless. “I want justice,” she said. Phyllis thought seeing Sharon having pancakes with her daughter was a kick in the face to Daniel. “How is he supposed to get over this, get closure, and grieve?” Phyllis wondered.
Sharon told Phyllis she confessed and was changing her plea to guilty. Phyllis wondered why Sharon was still sitting there. “Beg the judge to put you in a prison cell right now,” she snapped. Sharon said she was following procedure. Phyllis wondered if Michael was finding a way for her to wiggle out of it. Phyllis warned Sharon that she wouldn’t show her any mercy if she got off the charges. Faith was upset and told Phyllis to stop.
Phyllis told Faith that she hated to break the truth to her. Sharon interrupted and yelled at Phyllis to stop talking to Faith and to get out of the restaurant. Phyllis made it clear that she was not going anywhere. Phyllis told Faith that she was worried about her living with a murderer. Faith explained that nothing that happened was Sharon’s fault because she was drugged. “You were drugged?” Phyllis asked with an eye roll. Phyllis repeated her threat that if Sharon got away with killing Heather, Phyllis would do whatever she had to to get justice, and Sharon would wish she had gone to prison. “How can you be so cruel?” Faith seethed. Sharon told Phyllis to look out for her own family and leave her alone.
Daniel walked in as Sharon and Faith stood to leave. “Look out for my own family? Is that a threat, Sharon? Are you threatening me right now? Look out for my family?” Phyllis asked. After Sharon and Faith left, Daniel asked Phyllis, “What was that?”
Phyllis ranted that Michael and Nick wanted to defend Sharon. Daniel wanted to know what Sharon’s new defense was. Phyllis told Daniel that they were trying to claim that Sharon had been drugged. “Can you believe that?” Phyllis asked.
Daniel didn’t think Michael would do anything without proof. Phyllis reminded Daniel of everything Sharon had done the last few months that hurt his family. Daniel said he hadn’t forgotten but also thought that Sharon had been completely out of character to the person they had known for years. He wondered if the tainted drugs could explain it.
Phyllis was sure Sharon’s defense was just a ploy to keep her out of prison. Daniel pointed out that he’d known Sharon since he was a teen, and she had always been kind and considerate. He thought the attacks on his family were out of character. Phyllis reminded Daniel that Sharon watched her fall down a flight of stairs and then walked away. She said Sharon had never been stable. Daniel agreed, but he had a hard time wrapping his head around Sharon killing Heather. Phyllis wasn’t going to let anyone save Sharon.
At Crimson Lights, Mariah and Nick wondered who would want to hurt Sharon. Nick thought the most terrifying part was that it could be someone they knew. While they were talking, Ian puttered around them so he could eavesdrop, but they didn’t notice that he was wearing a hat and sunglasses.
Mariah mused at the possibility of an accident at the pharmacy or some sort of accidental mishap, but Nick said his gut told him there was nothing arbitrary about it. He pointed out that a pharmacy is a controlled environment, and an illegal street drug could get mixed up in Sharon’s meds repeatedly. He knew it was targeted and systematic.
Ian sat on the patio as Mariah repeated that it was a heinous crime that must have been committed by someone they knew. Nick was sure there was enough for Chance to open up a police investigation into the matter. Mariah and Nick agreed that none of them were safe until they figured out who was behind tainting Sharon’s meds, and Nick was not going to let up until they got the answers they needed. “Dammit,” Ian said on the patio. When Sharon said that they could be in danger, he muttered that she had no idea. He grabbed his coat, hat, and glasses and left. Nick thought if he and Mariah were this on edge, he couldn’t imagine what Sharon was going through.
Sharon and Faith joined them, and Faith recounted their run-in with Phyllis. Faith couldn't understand Phyllis’ hatred of her mom. Sharon said first it was Lucy causing a scene, then Phyllis, and there was someone after them. She thought it was too dangerous for Faith to be in town. Nick agreed. Faith pleaded with Mariah to convince her parents to let her stay, but Mariah agreed that she should go. Faith insisted she wasn’t going anywhere.
Sharon couldn’t understand how someone could hate her enough to alter her meds. Nick said that Chance had enough to open an investigation and asked Sharon if she was on board to keep her not-guilty plea unchanged.
Sharon said she still killed Heather, framed Daniel, and tried to kill Phyllis. Mariah repeated that she had drugs in her system, and that changed everything. Mariah said it wasn’t about Daniel or Heather. It was about getting justice for Sharon. Nick told Sharon to fight the charges for herself.
Sharon told her family that she wanted to do what was right for her and for Heather, so she wouldn’t change her plea. Sharon wanted to hire a trained hypnotist to figure out what happened when she had blacked out and see if she could get the answers they needed
Ian returned to the motel room and started Jordan. She was still upset, worrying about Claire being involved with Kyle. Ian said they had bigger problems, like the pills being the subject of a police investigation thanks to Jordan’s sloppy work and Nick Newman. Ian said that it posed a big danger to them.
Jordan raged at the way Ian was speaking to her. She wanted to know if he had seen Claire, Victoria, or Cole. She wanted it to be her turn and didn’t want to watch Claire’s PDAs with a nepo baby anymore. Ian said the only thing on his mind was thinking of a solution to the police investigation problem.
“Your instructions were clear. You assured me you were up to the task. And now it’s spiraling out of control,” Ian snapped. “Don’t you dare blame me!” Jordan blasted him. Ian wondered who else there was to blame as he was in the motel room while Jordan was off doing the tasks for his plan. Jordan angrily reminded Ian that it was their plan, not just his.
Ian mocked Jordan for thinking she’s some sort of mastermind as she was once locked up in Victor’s cage. He offered her some vodka, but she knocked the bottles out of his hand. Ian told Jordan that she had a tendency toward overconfidence. “And you, to myopia,” Jordan seethed. Ian thought he should have known that Jordan would have made a mistake when she tainted Sharon’s meds. Jordan was confident that there was nothing that would lead back to either of them.
Ian warned Jordan that she had better hope nothing came from the investigation because he’d blow her world all to hell if anything was traced back to him. “And if you do that, nothing will give me greater pleasure than taking you down with me,” Jordan warned. “Then, we better pull this off or we can kiss both our futures goodbye,” Ian told her.
