At Damian’s apartment, he and Audra sat on the couch. He apologized to her for dragging her into his new family drama. Nate knew something was on Audra’s mind, but she claimed it was Amy. Just then, Amy came downstairs and was dejected about how things turned out with Damian. Nate and Audra insisted she didn’t deserve this ending to the journey and thought she should go back home.

Amy was grateful to Nate for everything he did. Nate said he appreciated knowing more about his father through her. Amy hoped that one day, things would change with Damian. Nate said if he had to go to L.A. to hound him, he would. Audra told Nate he might not have to go that far. She explained she had just gotten a message from Damian’s friend, Holden, and he asked her to meet for a bite.

Nate thought it was odd that Holden would have Audra’s number, but she turned the focus onto Damian, who was probably still in town. Audra suggested that Holden might be able to convince Damian to come around. Audra said this was their chance and asked Amy for her permission to speak on her behalf then agreed to lunch with Holden.

Audra got ready to leave as Amy suggested that Nate accompany her to lunch with Holden. They both agreed that Holden wouldn’t be as forthcoming if he was there. She assured Nate there was nothing to worry about, and Nate did the same with Amy. After Audra left, Nate told Amy that Damian was still in town, and that meant there was still hope.

At Crimson Lights, Holden shared emails with Damian and told him they could only keep their problems on ice for so long and needed to get back to L.A. Damian said they needed to stay one more day and indicated the reason was walking in the door. Holden looked and saw Lily and told him that there were plenty of beautiful women in L.A., but Damian said he knew who she was: Lily Winters, like the company, and said she was Nate’s cousin. “My family tree just got a whole lot more interesting,” he noted.

Damian walked over and introduced himself. Lily’s jaw dropped and she surprised him by knowing he was Amy’s son. Damian pretended not to know the connection as he got Lily to explain it. Damian quipped that if the job Nate had offered was real, she could have been his boss. Lily suggested that he had a lot of things left undone in Genoa City and said that a man like him had more pride than to look like he was running away. “A man like me?” Damian queried.

Lily shared that she knew what it was like to learn something shocking about your family. She warned it could turn his past and future upside down, and he let it. She noted that he was still there and wondered what changed. Damian offered to buy her a cup of coffee, and they could sit down, and he’d explain it.

Holden came over and introduced himself, and Lily asked if he and Damian always used their switching places routine as a means to catfish people. She and Holden bickered about deception and whether or not theirs was worse than Nate’s. Damian intervened to point out that Holden only did what he asked. Lily said he was secretive, sneaky, and dishonest, but Damiam shrugged it off. “Most people are all of those things at some time or another,” he said.

Holden left to meet Audra, and Lily turned her sarcasm onto Damian only. She let him know she wasn’t amused by his charms. Damian admitted he was still in town because of their chance meeting and wanting to know her better. Lily told him that was heartbreaking to hear as Nate and Amy wanted to connect with him.

Damian told Lily his version of events, which was that he did what was requested, went to Nate’s, was ambushed, and then he and Amy said their piece. He admitted it had been a long time since he and his mom had a good vibe, especially since his dad died. He blamed it on Amy trying to follow a path he didn’t want, and she was relentless in trying to change him. Eventually, he gave up and broke communication between them.

Lily questioned how Damian became so successful so quickly. She said, according to Amy, the timeline was almost unrealistic and wondered if there was something else at play or if he had played by the rules. Damian told Lily he made his own rules. “But if you mean by legitimate avenues, then yes,” Damian assured her. Lily wanted to know what his secret to success was then but Damian laughed that it wouldn’t be a secret if he told her.

Lily noted that Amy was very sweet, so Damian agreed that is how she would appear to them. Lily reminded him that time was limited and asked if he wanted to give his mom some peace before she died. “She knows how I feel,” Damian replied. Lily said he could at least let Amy think he’d forgiven her. “You mean lie to her. And then what? Go hug my half-brother and thank him for reaching out?” Damian asked. Lily said she only cared about her family and didn’t trust Damian, noting that someone with as much anger as he had was unpredictable. Damian pointed out that he had been nothing but straight up with everyone and on the flip side, wanted nothing from anyone. He asked Lily how he could possibly be considered a threat.

Lily wondered if Damian would one day regret not talking to his mom before she died, nothing that her own parents died suddenly. Damian was sure that his only regrets were reserved for the people who didn’t lie to him. Lily thought if Damian didn’t care like he claimed, he wouldn’t appear so bothered by their conversation. “If you can’t be honest with me, at least be honest with yourself. And then you can make a decision you can live with,” she added. Lily needed to get to work, so Damian asked her to have dinner with her. “Why don’t you ask me again after you’ve made peace with your mother,” she said.

At the Athletic Club, Daniel tried calling Phyllis again and left yet another message. Summer arrived for their planned breakfast, and Daniel told her that he had still been trying to reach Phyllis and something was wrong.

In Paris, Sally and Billy came in from a busy day and kissed in the living room when Billy’s phone started ringing. It was Daniel, who was looking for Phyllis. He reluctantly shared that Phyllis hadn’t returned calls and texts and didn’t show up for breakfast with him and Summer, and he didn’t feel right about it.

Billy offered ideas of where Phyllis could be, but Daniel said she wouldn’t go away without telling them as she would know how they’d react to the lack of response. Billy suggested giving her a little more time before worrying. They agreed to call one another if they heard from her.

When Billy hung up, Billy told Sally that Daniel and Summer were worried that Phyllis could be missing. “And now you are, too,” Sally noted. Billy said that Phyllis was spontaneous and she could be doing something fun. Billy tried calling Phyllis but Sally noted it was odd he’d think she would take his calls but not her son’s.

Billy thought Phyllis’ phone could have died or she could be on a plane, but it was Phyllis, and strange things could happen. Sally asked him if he wanted to go home to help Daniel and Summer figure it out. Billy said he was concerned but not so worried that he needed to go back early. It was their last night, and he wanted to show Sally around. Sally assured him that Phyllis would turn up and it would all be okay.

When Summer returned to the table, she told Daniel that the front desk people told her they hadn’t seen Phyllis in a while. Summer apologized for being annoyed with Daniel the day before and not listening to his concerns about Phyllis. He said it was fine, but Summer agreed that Phyllis was missing. She pointed out that because of the way she acted, they wasted time in finding their mom. She said it was time to call Chance.

Chance arrived, and Daniel explained they had called him about Phyllis. Summer explained that Phyllis was unreachable and that the front desk hadn’t seen her in a while. “Whoa, slow down,” Chance told her. He asked if they checked Phyllis’ room. Summer said she knocked so hard that the guests from three doors down came out. Summer didn’t think Phyllis would worry them like this and asked Chance to look for her. “It would be a step towards making up for everything you put my brother through,” she added.

Chance said he would do whatever he could to help find Phyllis. Daniel said he knew they asked him to, but if Chance was taking it seriously, then it felt like a bad sign. Chance said it was only a sign that he didn’t want the two of them to worry. He told Summer he knew it meant a lot to her, so he was on it.

At Society, Holden met with Audra, who was icy towards him. She made it clear that she and Nate were a couple. She told him that a dying woman wanted to see her son and asked whether Holden would convince Damian to see Amy or not. Holden admitted that was one of the reasons they were still in town. Audra wondered what the other reason was, and all he would say was that there was a woman but wouldn’t tell her it was Lily.

Once alone, Amy and Nate had breakfast as she lamented about Damian. She worried the stress would feed her illness. Nate shared that he had reached out to a colleague and wanted to send Amy’s medical records to her in hopes that there was something in her research that could change her condition. Amy resisted but eventually agreed to let Nate try to find another treatment that might save her. There was a knock at the door, and Nate opened it to find Damian there, wanting to see Amy.
