At Nate’s, he told Lily and Devon about meeting the real Damian. Devon said it sounded like a red flag that Damian was playing games and had something to hide. Nate said he was being shady to lure Damian to begin with. He added that it turned out Damian owned all the companies he works for, and it made sense that he’d want to keep his identity private.
Lily thought Nate was giving Damian too much credit. She didn’t think that people who were above board needed to hide. She said Damian sounded sketchy. She wondered why Damian had shut out Amy, but Nate didn’t know. Devon thought Nate was making excuses for his brother, but he was still a stranger. Nate said that just because he was trying to see Damian’s side of things didn’t mean he was blind. He admitted he was having a hard time accepting that he and Damian were even related.
Lily thought it was normal for Nate to have had expectations connecting with Damian, even though he’d contacted him for Amy. Nate said he kept telling himself it was earth-shattering information that Damian had just received, and he needed to be patient. He relayed how Damian reacted to Amy’s terminal illness and how detached he was. Devon warned not to trust Damian. Lily agreed and said it was all in Damian’s court now.
Nate didn’t want to judge Damian but wished he’d make peace with Amy, and it angered him a little that he wouldn’t give her that. Lily noted that he and Amy had gotten close. Nate shared that Audra had, too, and Amy had brought out a softer side that even Nate didn’t know she had. “Audra is so gentle with her. So selfless,” Nate said. He recalled how Audra blew off a job interview to take care of Amy, and her compassion was genuine. Nate said he was trying to find out if there was something he could help Amy with medically.

As Devon and Lily left, she told Nate to be careful. Lily didn’t like how Damian hid behind Holden to trick him and she was distrustful for Nate to move forward too quickly with him.
At Crimson Lights, Damian discussed with Holden how he felt about hearing the news about Amy, Jackson, and Nathan. He said he had a feeling he should have ignored Nate’s original pitch and gone on with his life. But now that he knew everything, he wasn’t sure how to just ignore it and move on.
Holden felt bad that he’d pushed Damian so hard to see his mom, and they missed their opportunity to skirt back to L.A. Damian said it was his decision to see her, but Holden did the right thing, telling him that she was sick. He said he and Amy used to be close, but he wasn’t sure how he’d forgive her for the lifelong lie that was just revealed about his paternity. Damian said he was almost glad his dad wasn’t alive to find out he wasn’t his father. Holden suggested that Amy lied to protect him and Jackson, and she only revealed it so he wouldn’t be completely alone after she was gone.
Damian said he was still alone and just had questions. Holden said despite his resentment and distrust, Amy had answers, and he could try talking to her. Damian said he couldn’t yet, it was painful. He needed time to cool off and think things through. Holden suggested he forget about all of it and head back to L.A. “We’ve got enough problems out there to solve without adding this to our plate,” he said.
Damian agreed. Holden noted they were both good at shutting out the past and suggested they keep moving forward without looking back. Damian thought it was a hell of a lot to try to forget. Holden knew he had a lot on his mind but said there were a lot of fires to put out back home, and they couldn’t afford to wait around and see what happened next. Damian said they could forget any of it happened, and they just left and forgot about Genoa City.
Damian agreed that he didn’t owe Amy anything, especially since she had kept a secret from him his whole life. He agreed to go to L.A. He was grateful for Holden and called him his only real friend.
Damian said he would pick up food and then meet him at the hotel so they could pack. After Damian left, Audra walked in. She glanced around to see if anyone they knew was there. “I was wondering when we’d finally have a moment alone,” Holden said. Audra told him they had nothing to say to one another, and he had to keep his mouth shut about the past. “I don’t know you, and you don’t know me,” she glowered. “But that’s not true,” Holden said, adding that they knew one another very well.
Holden asked Audra why she was so worked up but she said she wasn’t and he’d know it when it happened. Holden said their secrets were safe for now. She told him it was a ballsy move coming to town and pretending to be his boss. Holden explained he was also his best friend. “I thought you were a friend, too,” Holden added as he stepped closer to her. “We knew each other for a very short time in Los Angeles. Don’t make more of it than it was,” Audra told him. Holden said it seemed like more, especially since he helped her out of a jam with her boss at the time. “How is Tucker, by the way?” Holden asked. Audra said she wouldn’t know and wondered what Holden wanted from her. Holden said that was an interesting question. “But when it comes right down to it, you owe me. Big time,” Holden replied.
“You’re right, you did help me,” Audra told Holden. She said she would always be grateful for that and for not revealing their history to Nate. Holden smirked that it was a surprise finding her at Nate’s apartment, but Audra told him it was a surprise for her as well. Holden asked if she and Nate were the real deal. “I don’t know what’s going to happen there, but he's a good man, and he treats me better than anyone I’ve ever known,” Audra replied. “Even better than Tucker?” Holden asked. “I’m really done with him, for good this time. I’m a different person now, Holden. I like my life here, and I would like that to continue,” Audra assured him. Holden revealed it was Audra’s lucky day because he didn’t want his past coming to light either and shared that he and Damian were heading back to L.A. that night. “So we can all just pretend like none of this ever happened,” Holden said.
In Paris, Billy listened to his voice messages, and there were several messages from Phyllis asking him to call her back. He finally did as she was walking through the park in Genoa City. He noted she was pretty difficult to ignore, meaning she was relentless about calling. But behind him, Sally overheard from the hallway.
Phyllis told Billy that Daniel had decided to join them at Abbott Communications. Billy agreed it was terrific news but reminded her that he specifically told her that the decision could wait until he got back. Phyllis said she thought he was just playing it cool. Phyllis seemed touched when Billy admitted that he only hired Daniel because of her but wondered if he’d decided what role he’d play. Phyllis didn’t know yet but said they’d figure it out. She told Billy that she was really happy that he wasn’t using the company to go after Adam and Victor, and they were starting with a clean slate. “I couldn’t agree more,” Billy told her.
Phyllis wanted to talk about work for a moment, but Billy didn’t want to. Sally came in, and Billy hung up. He went back to giving Sally his undivided attention.
When Billy hung up, Phyllis sat on the park bench, mocking herself for asking if he was having fun with Sally in Paris. As she muttered, Nick walked up and asked if she’d gotten bad news. Phyllis vented her Billy frustrations on Nick by sarcastically asking where Sharon was and how she managed to get home on her own without his handholding.
Nick told Phyllis it was a gift that she was consistent in her ability to get in a dig. Phyllis admitted she was happy about one thing: Daniel agreed to work with her and Billy. Nick asked about the new business.
Nick and Phyllis went to Crimson Lights for coffee and sat in a booth as Phyllis told him about Abbott Communications. Nick wondered if it was another one of Billy’s big ideas, but Phyllis said she couldn’t afford another pipe dream, and neither could Daniel. She asked him not to tell anyone about the business, and Nick promised she could trust him.
Nick said he hoped it worked out for her. Phyllis knew Nick was being polite. She defended Billy and wondered if Nick was trying to ruin it for her. Nick said he was reminding her of all the times that Billy turned on her because he always looks out for himself — and not her.
Phyllis called Nick negative, but he insisted that Billy got bored when things went too well and blew them up. Phyllis said that Billy would have succeeded at Chancellor if his parents hadn’t interfered. Phyllis found it admirable that Billy wouldn’t go after every one of them. Nick thought Phyllis should hold off on getting new business cards.
Phyllis said she understood that everyone wanted to think the worst of Billy because everyone also wanted to think the worst of her. “I’m sorry. I just know the guy. I thought you did, too,” Nick told her. Phyllis admitted that Billy’s first instinct was to go after the Newmans, and she was going to help him. But she realized it was a fight he wouldn’t win as no one ever did. Nick suggested that Billy was pretending to give up on the idea. Phyllis told Nick not to worry; Victor and Nikki’s coup would go ahead, and there would be no repercussions as usual. Nick said he sincerely hoped it worked out for her but to not take anything Billy said at face value because you never really knew what his agenda actually was.
In Paris, Billy laid in bed wide awake as Sally slept. He quietly slipped out of the bed. He went to the living room and shut the door. He made a call on his phone to someone, stating, “Hi, it’s me. I wanted to give you a quick update. Funding has been secured. Staffing is complete. Abbott Communications is a go, and we should be ready to launch very quickly,” Billy told someone. They spoke, and then Billy replied, “That’s correct…Actually, no, there’s one more thing I need you to do. I want you to take a deep dive into Chancellor. I want to know every single thing that has happened there since Nikki took over.” Billy told the person to get back to him as soon as they could.
At Society, Lily was looking at her phone and walked into Damian as he was picking up food for him and Holden. He apologized and asked if she was okay. “I think so, just watch where you’re going next time,” Lily replied as she took a seat at the bar.
