At Nate’s apartment, Nate filled Audra in about how Amy and Damian had taken steps to clear the air and even hugged. Nate also revealed that he’d convinced Amy to let him have another doctor look at her medical records. Audra commended him for everything he’d done to support Amy and Damian. Nate credited Audra for charming Holden into pushing Damian to give Amy another chance. Audra reasoned that Damian had already been leaning toward hearing his mother out.
Nate hoped Damian had stuck around because he felt a deeper connection to Amy than he’d admitted. Audra relayed that, according to Holden, Damian had met a woman who’d compelled him to stay in town. Nate remembered feeling a vibe between Lily and Damian, and he was grateful if Damian had stayed because of her. Audra commented that she could see how someone would be taken with Lily, and Nate compared it to how Holden hadn’t been able to keep his eyes off Audra. Audra announced that there was something he should know about her and Holden.
Audra confessed that she’d recognized Holden when he’d first arrived, posing as Damian, because she’d known him when she’d been in L.A. with Tucker years earlier. Nate was taken aback that she hadn’t said anything. Audra defended that she hadn’t known what to think, and she’d pondered whether Holden had been using a fake name when she’d known him in L.A. Nate asked how well she knew Holden. She confessed that they’d gone on a few dates, but it hadn’t been anything serious.
Nate pressed to know if that was all. Audra recounted that Tucker had sent her to seal a deal with some music producers who had been less than gentlemanly, and Holden had intervened when things had gotten out of hand. Audra asserted that she’d been able to hold her own, but she appreciated that Holden had backed her up. Nate remained confused about why she hadn’t told him the truth right away if her past with Holden was harmless.

Audra swore she had nothing else to hide. She acknowledged that she should have spoken up earlier, but she claimed that seeing Holden had reminded her of her time with Tucker, and she hadn’t wanted to go there. Audra continued that she’d been stunned to see Holden, and she’d hoped he’d go back to L.A. so she wouldn’t have to deal with him again, but she’d also felt the need to tell Nate the truth. She apologized for not being honest with him from the beginning, and she asked if he could forgive her.
Audra begged Nate to tell her how to fix it, and he pulled her into a hug. He said he was sorry for what had happened in L.A. and that seeing Holden had made her relive it. Audra understood if Nate was upset with her. He wished she’d told him truth from the beginning, but only because he wanted her to feel she could trust him. Nate assured her that her connection to Holden didn’t bother him – unless there was something she hadn’t said. Audra swore there wasn’t, and they kissed.
At the old Newman ranch house, Adam looked deep in thought as he hovered over a chessboard. He flashed back to his dream about Chelsea telling him she was falling for him all over again. Chelsea called his name and inquired whether he was playing a game against himself or if he was lost in thought. He replied both.
Chelsea queried whether it was a house rule that she had to learn how to play chess. Adam offered to teach her, and she agreed to think about it. He voiced surprise that she wasn’t at work. She shared that Connor had scammed her into letting him stay home from school to relax, only to “remind” her that she wanted to go ice-skating. Adam teased Chelsea for being a softy, but she recalled that Connor had convinced Adam to change his movie pick the night before.
Adam ribbed Chelsea for sobbing through the sports movie they’d watched. She chalked it up to allergies, but she admitted she was a sucker for an underdog story. Chelsea thought Adam had also gotten emotional at the end, and he referred to the same allergies she had. She remarked that it was good for the three of them to be living there together – especially for Connor, who was thriving with increased outdoor activities and time with his cousins. Adam thought it was also about Connor having immediate access to both his parents.
Adam asked how Chelsea was adjusting to living there, and she said she felt at ease. She admitted that she’d expected everything to remind her of Victor, but she found it very peaceful, and it felt like their own. “Our own little world,” Adam mused. Chelsea wondered if everything was okay, since he’d seemed off the past couple of days.
Adam felt he needed to be honest with Chelsea. He explained that he’d thought things would be fine when the three of them moved in together, since it was a big house where they could each have their own space. Chelsea asked if he regretted having her move in. He insisted he didn’t, but he was afraid she wouldn’t want to hear what he had to say. He confided that he loved having her there, and it was becoming harder to fight the fact he was falling back in love with her.
Adam swore he wasn’t trying to pressure Chelsea, but he couldn’t stop thinking about it. He mentioned the dream in which she’d told him she thought they should try again to be together, although he knew it had only been his own wishful thinking. Chelsea wanted to stay there for Connor’s sake, and she suggested that she and Adam create new boundaries to make it easier for him. Adam protested that he didn’t want her to wall herself off from him, and he didn’t want anything to change.
Adam reasoned that he’d told Chelsea about his feelings because she’d sensed something, and he wanted complete honesty between them. Chelsea conceded that being there with him had also stirred up memories for her of when they’d been together – and in love. Chelsea reflected on the good times she and Adam had spent together, like him helping her study for the GED and watching The Outsiders together. Adam recalled proposing to her in the rain and marrying her at his mom’s farm.
Chelsea murmured that she wanted that happiness again, but Adam asked if the bad memories blurred the vision. Chelsea confirmed that they sometimes did, but then they went away, and she felt safe. Adam hesitantly inquired whether she’d changed her mind about them. He reached for her hand and asked if it would really be that bad for them to try again.
Chelsea pledged to be as honest with Adam as he had been with her. She shared that her kneejerk reaction had been not to consider getting back together, but a voice inside her head said otherwise. She insisted that they be careful and take things very slowly. Adam suggested they start with something simple, like dinner for just the two of them. Chelsea accepted.
Daniel and Summer met at the Athletic Club and exchanged reports about not hearing anything from their mom. Daniel proposed that they try to think like Phyllis. Summer argued that their mom hadn’t had any reason to bolt, but Daniel countered that Phyllis didn’t always make the best decisions. Summer believed that Phyllis had been determined to be there for Daniel and Lucy, and their mother wouldn’t just disappear on them.
Nick ran into Mariah at Crimson Lights and asked where her mom was. Mariah informed him that she hadn’t seen Sharon that day. Nick mentioned that he’d planned to meet Sharon there, but she hadn’t returned his call that morning to confirm. While they waited, Mariah showed Nick photos of Aria on Valentine’s Day. Nick declared Sharon officially late, and he tried calling her again.
Nick and Mariah realized that neither of them had talked to Sharon that day or the day before. Mariah called the office and learned that Sharon hadn’t responded to anyone’s text messages or emails. Chance overheard and asked if something was going on with Sharon. Mariah shared that they hadn’t heard from her, and Nick inquired whether something was wrong. Chance revealed that Phyllis had also gone missing.
Chance reported that Phyllis had been gone for about a day, and he was looking into it as a favor for Summer. Mariah tried to convince herself that Sharon was just taking a personal day, but Nick clucked that Sharon wouldn’t do that without checking in. Chance asked when they’d last had contact with Sharon, and Nick and Mariah both remembered seeing her on Valentine’s Day. Chance noted that Phyllis had been missing for the same amount of time, but he couldn’t be sure it was connected. Nick suggested they talk to Daniel and Summer.
Chance called Daniel and asked to meet at the coffeehouse. As Danel and Summer headed over, Mariah contemplated whether Sharon and Phyllis had disappeared together. Mariah wondered if Faith had heard anything, but Nick shared that Faith was out of town with friends, and he didn’t want to worry her unnecessarily. Chance cautioned them against setting off alarms, but he thought it would help to compare notes.
Daniel and Summer entered the coffeehouse, and Chance informed them that Sharon had stopped communicating with her family around the same time Phyllis had seemingly disappeared. Daniel questioned why the women would go anywhere together when they hated one another. “Unless one of them didn’t go willingly,” Mariah speculated. Mariah and Summer argued, but Nick lectured that it wasn’t helping. Chance urged the group to think through things civilly and compare what they knew.
Summer swore that Phyllis had been determined to put her issues with Sharon in the past, and Daniel reported that Phyllis had been excited because they’d both just accepted jobs with Billy. Summer and Mariah continued to exchange barbs. Chance encouraged them to keep the peace so they could figure out when Sharon and Phyllis had last seen one another.
Chance, Summer, Daniel, Mariah, and Nick took turns recounting when they’d last witnessed Sharon and Phyllis together. They realized that no one had seen the women cross paths within the past couple of days.
Meanwhile, an unconscious Sharon and Phyllis were being held together in an undisclosed location.
