Sharon and a guarded Phyllis sat down together at Crimson Lights. They find common ground on the luxuries of life that they can enjoy again following their kidnapping ordeal. The two women also bonded over their mutual love for their kids. Sharon pointed out that even though they're free, there's a lasting impact from their ordeal.
Phyllis noted that Nick always has to play the hero. Sharon changed the subject a bit by saying they had to talk about what happened to them at the clinic.
Phyllis suggested that the kidnapping ordeal was part of a bigger scheme. Someone wanted the enemies to find a way to work together. Sharon said she didn't consider them enemies, but Phyllis didn't let her get away with that. "You can say the word: It's hate. We have hated each other for years," Phyllis said.
Sharon got a little theoretical in her tone, but she agreed that hate was the right word. "Huh? Is this going to be a college lecture while I bare my soul?" Phyllis asked.
Phyllis agreed that Sharon and Phyllis hating each other was akin to a security blanket "covered in nuclear waste." Phyllis said she was angry because she didn't know what to do.
Phyllis said she wanted to be real. She didn't want to play any games. Sharon said no one gets a vote in who they feel about each other now. "We went through something traumatic," Sharon said. They needed to work together to get out of it. Sharon said they could go back to their old lives and their old feelings.
"We could just let the hate live on," a skeptical Phyllis said. Sharon said, "I wish the whole thing would go away." Phyllis replied, "Me, too. Do you have a therapist trick for that?" Sharon said they're going to have to deal with the emotions. Phyllis said her kids are worried about her. "I'm the mom," she said. "I have to be a bad-ass. I just need a break. That's all. When does that happen?"
Phyllis acknowledged that Sharon has been through way tougher things than she has over the past few years. Then, Sharon started to leave. "We're going to get out of here," Sharon said. "Let's go."
Out in the woods, Phyllis confessed that Sharon wasn't her ultimate enemy — that role was held by a certain insect. Phyllis said not to even get her started on Diane. Sharon said Phyllis's feelings for her were more immediate. "The wounds are deep," Sharon said.
"You gotta love Nick for making us do this," Phyllis said, pointing out that Nick was responsible. "Our kids are half-siblings," Sharon said. "Yep, we're one big scrappy family," Phyllis noted.
Phyllis was confused. Did Sharon want to pretend their ordeal never happened or not? Sharon suggested that they put all their energy into their kids. Phyllis agreed. She noted that their kids would like it. "I'm not going to be that person that loves everybody," Phyllis said. She stood up and said, "Cool. I am willing to leave our past on the clinic floor and move on. So...what do we do?"
Sharon and Phyllis went to Society to have a drink. Phyllis asked Sharon if she had nightmares. Sharon said she did. "I still feel terrorized," Phyllis said. When she drifted off to sleep, she got a kaleidoscope of images. All she could think about was all the emotions.
Phyllis said that because Sharon also went through the ordeal, she didn't feel alone. Phyllis said it was easier to go through life with resentment. She acknowledged that even though she made it out alive, she didn't know how to move forward. "We could always try couples therapy," Sharon suggested. The two women clinked their drinks together.
Phyllis said she couldn't hold the grudge she had felt towards Sharon. She noted that some of the grudges she holds onto are justified. Phyllis asked how they go about burying the hatchet. Sharon said they would have to figure it out as they went along. She suggested that they take "baby steps."
Victor and Lily met at the Newman Ranch to discuss Damian and the mysterious Aristotle Dumas, who employs Damian as his CEO. Lily suggested that Victor had a private agenda related to Aristotle. He commented on Lily's intelligence.
Lily was glad that Victor wanted to mend their relationship, but she pushed and wanted to know what Victor wanted. Victor cut to the chase. He asked her if she wanted the information he had in his possession.
Victor said that Kane owns nothing; it was all Aristotle. Victor suggested that Aristotle had Damian meet up with the Winters clan because Aristotle wants Lily's family's company. "Why would we be on his radar at all?" Lily wondered.
Lily pointed out that she and Devon had reached out to Damian. Victor revealed that Dumas had sent info on Lily and Devon to Damian Kane three months ago.
Lily met with Devon at Crimson Lights following her meeting with Victor. Lily asked if Devon had heard from Nate. Devon said yes and that Amy's first treatment went well. Lily was glad to hear that. She hastened to add that they cannot trust Damian.
Lily told Devon that Victor gave her the information on Damian. Devon had questions that Lily couldn't answer. Devon suspected that Damian had been playing Nate this whole time.
Meanwhile, Sally and Billy were also talking about him. Billy teased Sally about Aristotle's true identity and said that maybe he is the elusive Aristotle. He made a pun about Aristotle's last name, which Sally playfully found immature. Sally persisted. She said that Billy was acting weird. Sally felt that Billy wasn't telling her the whole story.
Sally claimed Billy has a "tell." She made him a deal: If Billy told Sally what she wanted to know about Aristotle, then she would tell him what she thinks his tell is. They continued their banter, and Billy initiated a kiss, which Sally responded to.
Billy finally opened up about his talk with Aristotle. He shared that Billy wasn't treated right by either Victor or his mother, Jill. Billy agreed with Sally that it felt like massive vindication.
Billy said Victor would always try to make him feel bad about himself. He said that's why Aristotle's call made him feel good. Sally said she was happy for Billy. She remained curious about one thing — if Dumas was just being polite, why was he blowing up his phone after hours?
Billy doesn't know what exactly is going on with Dumas. "Whatever it is must be something big," a guarded Sally said. "Not everyone is Victor Newman," Billy pointed out.
Billy said he liked Sally looking out for him. "I really don't think you can trust this man," Sally said. "I don't trust anyone," Billy replied. He quickly added that he did trust her. Billy said they don't always have to talk. Sally questioned him, but she knew what he meant. They kissed.
Alone, Billy made a phone call. "I just wanted to return your call," Bill said. "Everything is on track for the launch. As far as the quid pro quo we discussed, I've got the 'quid' if you've got the 'quo'."
