What you missed on The Young and the Restless

Alan and Traci were happy to share a meal with Jack and Diane at the Genoa City Athletic Club. Alan had just returned to town after a conference in DC while Traci was back from New York. They hadn't seen one another for a while and were happy to be reunited. Alan and Traci wanted to visit with one another but their flights kept getting delayed and it never happened. They also missed each other when Alan flew into New York and Traci had an event down south.

Jack was beaming seeing how happy his sister was. "Traci, I love you and you deserve all the happiness in the world," he said.

Traci so enamored Alan that he offered to stop taking speaking engagements so they could spend more time together. Traci nixed the idea because she didn't want him giving up anything for her. Jack reminded Traci that offered and maybe she should take him up on it.

Traci and Alan continued to fawn at one another as Jack and Diane looked on adoringly. They couldn't be happier for Traci. Alan explained how Traci changed his life and alleviated his loneliness. Traci felt the same way, which led Alan to make a shocking declaration.

"If I thought I’d have a shot, I’d ask you to marry me right now," Alan said. Traci was stunned as Jack and Diane saw this as their cue to leave so Alan and Traci could discuss the matter alone. Alan admitted that he hadn't planned on proposing. It just came out. "It was not planned and maybe ill-conceived," he said.

Alan told Traci that his entire life had changed since they met and she was what was missing in his life. "Traci Abbott, will you marry me?" Alan finally asked, to which an ecstatic Traci said, "Yes!"

Alan asked Traci if he thought her daughter Colleen would have approved of him. before telling Alan how much he meant to her. "Finding you has been this really unexpected gift. A bonus chapter to what's already a lovely life."

Alan decided they had to make it official so he left to get a ring to place on Traci's finger. Jack and Diane returned when Alan left. Jack asked if Traci had news. All she could do was give her brother a big, bright smile.

In their dark and dingy "prison," Phyllis and Sharon's roles were reversed. Now, Sharon was the one who was passed out on the couch while Phyllis tried to wake her. Phyllis being Phyllis began screaming for "The Voice" to hear her as she lamented that the antidote was all gone.

"Tell me what to do!" Phyllis screamed. Like magic, she found a clue on a Valentine's Day note by Sharon's pillow. It said, "Mark my time in blood, sweat, and tears." A panicked Phyllis began doing CPR on Sharon "I swear to you, do not leave me alone. Please," she begged.

When she suddenly woke, Phyllis was shocked because Sharon seemed fine. Phyllis kept repeating that Sharon was dead and she was running out of time to save her, but she did. She worried Sharon did not get enough oxygen to her brain. Then, she wondered if it was a trick.

Phyllis then asked "The Voice" if she had passed her latest test. Sharon was pleased because Phyllis was willing to save her life. Sharon always knew she would. "It almost sounds like you care," Sharon said. "I saved your life, you saved mine," she added.

After bickering some more, the ladies deduce that the goal of this game is for them to both find a way to escape by working together. "Getting past the hate and seeing the bigger picture," Sharon said. Phyllis countered that she could still hate Sharon and not want them dead. Sharon pointed out that Phyllis had wanted Sharon dead in the past. "This situation has changed you, has changed us," she added.

When Phyllis decided that they needed to ignore all distractions and work together, Sharon agreed. The two women took one another's hands and made escaping their goal. They even noticed that "The Voice" was gone.

Meanwhile, Alan is sitting alone in Chancellor Park with an odd look on his face. When a phone notification came in, Alan watched a video of Sharon and Phyllis in their little prison, making it clear he was the one who was holding them hostage and playing this sick game.

While Sharon and Phyllis tried to find a way out of their terrifying situation, their family members went to work trying to find them. Nick and Chance sat at Crimson Lights watching the surveillance footage with the white van when Summer came barreling in to talk to her dad and ex-boyfriend.

Nick informed Summer that they had a lead on Sharon and Phyllis and assured her that her mom would be okay.

"Are you sure we're going to find them? You don't think there's a possibility we might be too late?" Summer asked. Nick swore on his life that the thought had never crossed his mind. Chance also tried to be reassuring because there was no proof that the women were actually kidnapped.

"I'm just going by the facts and trying not to make assumptions," Chance said, causing Summer to scoff at him. Chance then admitted he had a bad feeling about the whole situation.

When they looked at the map of the area where the van was seen, they realized that most of the buildings had been abandoned and wondered if the women could be in one of them.

Nick called on Newman security to start doing a search of the buildings while Summer remained confused about why someone would even do this. It's not like anyone was asking for ransom. She felt if the kidnapper wanted money they would have heard so by now.

Nick gave his daughter more words of encouragement and took off to talk to his security team. Once he was gone, Chance tried to cheer Summer up. "I have concerns but I'm very confident we're going to find them and we're going to bring them home," Chance said. Summer admitted that Chance's positivity was the only reason she wasn't a complete wreck.

suggested that Summer eat something, but Summer had no appetite. She was way too worried to force anything down. Chance took Summer's hand and promised to be there for her.

Nick returned to the ranch where he met up with Billy. The younger Abbott brother was worried sick about Phyllis and wanted to show Nick the text he got after he called Phyllis' burner phone. It was an automated text asking if he wanted information on the Havenhurst Psychiatric Clinic, but Nick wasn't even sure the place really existed or if Billy's text was spam.

When they looked it up, they learned it was indeed real but had been shut down and abandoned years earlier. It was also on the map that Chance had been looking at. "That can't possibly be a coincidence," Nick said.

The men rushed back to Crimson Lights and showed an anxious Chance and Summer the text. They wanted to rush there immediately but also wondered if they were walking right into a trap.
