At the Athletic Club, Billy ordered a scotch at the bar as he loosened his tie. “Keep ‘em coming til I say so,” he tells the bartender. Across the room, he sees Sally sitting alone. He joined her at her table, and she asked how the wedding was.
Billy said that the dress Sally designed was beautiful, and he was surprised she hadn’t been there to see it. Sally said she didn’t want to see Adam, but Billy told her he didn’t attend. She knew that Billy was upset and prodded him to tell her why. “I forced my mother’s hand, and it became clear she is not all in when it comes to supporting her son,” Billy said.
Billy told Sally about his mom’s ultimatum, and although he had fulfilled her requests, she sold the company to Victor. “I lost Chelsea because of Adam. I lost the company I love because of Victor,” Billy said. He swore revenge but said the Newmans wouldn’t see him hurting.
Billy and Sally moved back to the bar, where he said he didn’t understand why and how Jill turned so quickly on him. Billy noted that his mom’s health was a factor and was sure Victor used that information to his advantage.

Billy said he didn’t want to talk about it anymore. Sally suggested that they have some food and no more drinks. Billy told Sally that he trusted her and that he was serious. “We’re doing serious tonight,” he said.
At the Newman ranch, Kyle told Diane that there was no way that Victor would cut him out to hire her. Diane challenged him to ask Victor, but Kyle didn’t want to bother the bride's father at the wedding. “You made another bad choice, Kyle. You thought Victor had taken you under his wing, but he had only sunk his claws into you to hurt Jack,” Diane sneered. Kyle said that she was the one who hurt his dad. “You’re right, and I used Victor to do it,” Diane said. Kyle looked over his shoulder and saw Jack watching.
Jack interrupted, and Kyle told him that Diane had colluded with Victor to take Glissade from him. Kyle accused Diane of firing him, driving a wedge between him and Jack, and taking away Kyle’s next shot at success. “You said I made a mistake in trusting the wrong people. You’re right about that because I trusted you, and that is something that will never happen again,” Kyle said angrily before walking away.
Jack asked Diane if what she said was true. “Victor’s giving me Glissade in exchange for firing Kyle again,” Diane said. She broke down, and Jack moved in closer and whispered to her to hold on a little longer. Jack promised it would be over soon, and Diane regained composure and nodded.
“I need you to tell me my mother is lying,” Kyle said to Victor. Victor admitted that he gave Glissade to Diane. Kyle was furious and wanted to know why Victor betrayed his loyalty. Victor told Kyle he was playing with the big boys now in a cutthroat world.
Kyle asked Victor if it was all about hurting Jack. Kyle said Jack wasn’t perfect but loved his family in a way that Victor would never understand. Victor growled that Jack almost killed the woman he loved, and Jack was getting off easy. “I’m sorry, you’re a good man. You’re very bright and will be a very successful businessman. Once you stop licking your wounds, you’ll understand what I did,” Victor said. He walked away, leaving Kyle stunned.
Kyle and Claire left the wedding together, and Jack followed. After they left, Abby and Devon thanked their guests for coming. Devon said a toast to his new bridge, and Abby tributed Ashley. Abby said she would change quickly, and then they had to catch a plane. Nate told Audra the newlyweds were taking Devon’s jet to Fiji for a honeymoon.
Nate wandered over to Lily and asked why she wasn’t smiling. Lily kept sipping her wine as Devon came over. She threw a smile on her face and happily congratulated him. Nate and Devon walked away, and when Lily looked up, she saw Victor looking at her.
Abby returned to the reception and wanted to throw her bouquet. She tossed it over her shoulder, and it fell into Audra’s hands. Everyone cheered, but as she walked by Nate, she told him not to get any ideas. Nate chuckled.
Nick arrived at Sharon’s, and she was frantic. She told Nick she had to know if Phyllis would be okay. Nick said that Phyllis was at the hospital with Daniel and Summer, but she was still unconscious. “She’s still alive. I didn’t kill Phyllis,” Sharon said. “What are you saying?” Nick asked.
Nick told Sharon to take her time, but she said she’d already taken too much time. Sharon told him that she blacked out while driving home and woke up on the side of the road near home. She saw the flames and ran over but saw Nick pull Phyllis’ body out of the car, and that’s when it hit her what she had done.
Sharon explained that she was the one who drove Phyllis off the road. Nick said he knew she and Phyllis had issues but couldn’t believe Sharon would do that. Sharon insisted she did because she had to do whatever it took to stop Phyllis.
Nick thought Sharon assumed she had run Phyllis off the road but reminded her that she blacked out. Nick said that Phyllis was saying crazy things about Sharon but that no one believed her. “What Phyllis said about me, it’s not a lie. It’s the truth. I killed Heather. She is dead because of me, and I just can’t live with myself anymore, I can’t,” Sharon cried. Nick held her as she sobbed.
Nick tried to convince Sharon that she was just scared. Sharon said it wasn’t a coincidence that she was there. Nick insisted it was an accident and nothing more. “You want to believe that, but it’s not true. I know the truth. I know, and I can prove it to you,” Sharon told Nick.
Sharon told Nick that she wanted to call Chance so she could make an official statement. Nick balked and said she needed some tea. Sharon told Nick that all she needed was to tell the truth. Nick stood horrified as Sharon begged, “Will you please let me do that?” Nick reluctantly agreed but looked scared.
Sharon started at the beginning with her memories of Cassie, the anniversary of her death, and how her work for Cassie’s honor started to wear on her. She said Lucy and Faith’s accident made her pain manifest into anger towards Daniel. Sharon described her hallucinations of Cameron and Cassie. Sharon admitted that Cameron told her to avenge Cassie’s death and make Daniel pay.
Sharon said the powerlessness of being unable to protect Cassie gave Cameron the power over her. “I somehow twisted myself into believing that if I hurt another person, in Cassie’s name, that it would somehow make things better,” Sharon explained.
Sharon admitted to Nick that she came up with a plan to kill Daniel. Nick was blown away by what Sharon was telling him. He said she wasn’t in her right mind. Sharon told Nick how she had the right frame of mind to plot Daniel’s murder. She told him about the poisoned whiskey and the poetic justice of Daniel dying by alcohol like Cassie did.
Nick worried that the bottle was still in the apartment, but Sharon told him how she had gone back and emptied it. Sharon told Nick all the details about fighting with Heather and how she blacked out. Sharon described how Heather was on the floor in a pool of blood when she woke up. She said she should have called someone, but Cameron told her exactly what to do.
Nick looked ill as Sharon described in detail how she disposed of Heather’s body and covered her tracks. Sharon said she prayed the body was never found, but when it was, she knew everything was going to fall apart. She said that she and Cameron knew that she had to frame Daniel and described how she did it.
While Sharon talked, Nick stared at her in horror, looking her up and down like he was looking at a monster. Sharon concluded that everything Phyllis said was true and that she did everything she was accused of. Nick was furious.
Sharon told Nick that he always did whatever it took to protect her because he always believed she was a good person with a good heart. She pointed out he was still treating her gently after what she had done. Sharon cried and apologized for putting it on Nick but said that the guilt was too much to bear.
Sharon told Nick that Phyllis had found out what she had done and that she needed to find a way to silence her. “Phyllis never shuts up. And now that may cost Phyllis the rest of her life,” Sharon added. Sharon pointed out that if Nick and Chance hadn’t saved Phyllis when they did, she would have burned to death in that car. “That is something I did. That is something that I am responsible for. Tell me, Nick, is it time to call Chance now?” Sharon asked.
Kyle and Claire returned to the Abbott mansion. She asked if he wanted to talk. Kyle said he wanted to check on Harrison first and suggested she pour him a drink. Kyle went upstairs before Jack and Diane walked in and asked if Kyle was home. Claire asked what was going on when she saw Diane. Before anyone could answer, Kyle came downstairs and asked what Diane was doing there.
Kyle ranted about everything Diane had done and was livid that she was in the house. Jack and Diane tried to interrupt, but he didn’t want to hear anything and told Claire they were leaving. Diane stopped Kyle and told him that it was all an act and that she and Jack weren’t really at war with one another. “It wasn’t real. We did it to save you, Kyle,” Diane said.
Next week on The Young and the Restless:
At Phyllis’ hospital bedside, Summer said she couldn’t believe this was happening. Daniel asked if there was some kind of treatment or something they could do for Phyllis. Elena responds, “Beyond stabilizing her and monitoring her vitals, there’s not much more we can do.”
At the ranch house, Victor says, “I just forwarded you the signed papers for the transfer of Glissade to you.” “Just like that?” Diane replied.
In their motel room, Jordan says to Ian, “So, time to pop the champagne?” They both cackle and raise their glasses to toast one another.
