Billy and Sally returned to Genoa City and went straight to Society, where Sally was meeting Audra. Billy wanted to go check on Phyllis and make sure she was okay. Audra took a swipe, wanting to know what Phyllis’s problem was now. Sally and Bily were cuddly until he left. Audra said it looked serious, but Sally could only confirm it was special.
Once alone, Sally admitted she had the best time of her life and hadn’t stopped smiling since getting off the plane. “Now that you and Billy have gotten closer, how do you feel about him racing out of here to see Phyllis? What’s that all about?” Audra asked.
Sally shared the new business plan with Audra. She was very supportive, talking about wanting the business for Billy to succeed, and she could live with Phyllis if that’s what it took. Audra warned her to watch her back around Phyllis.
Audra updated Sally about Nate and Damian and how heartbreaking it was to see Amy being rejected by her son. As Audra talked about Amy, Sally was touched at how much she cared about her. Holden walked in, and Sally noticed Audra’s demeanor change.

Audra introduced Holden to Sally. They started chatting, but Sally could tell Audra was tense. Audra basically dismissed Holden from the conversation, and Sally asked Audra what that was about after he walked away.
Audra explained the whole story to Sally. She admitted her relationship with Holden in L.A. had been more intense than just a couple of dates, like she had told Nate. She said it started when he helped her out of a situation with some pushy music producers, which Nate knew. But their relationship got more intense, and Holden liked to live on the edge. He kept pushing the boundaries until she had to break things off with him, and it wasn’t pretty. She wanted him to go back to L.A. as soon as possible. She was happy with Nate and didn’t want him messing that up. Audra looked across the restaurant and saw Holden watching and smiling.
At the asylum, Phyllis and Sharon were asleep on the couch when an alarm clock woke them at 7am. Phyllis noticed that their phones were shut back off. Sharon wondered if the person who took them stayed there all night. Phyllis said she needed coffee, and the coffee maker started brewing. Sharon started laughing because everything was set to a tee. She said that this was clearly thought out perfectly to every detail. They asked the voice what the game plan was for the day.
Sharon didn’t want to drink it in case it was drugged. They started to talk about how Sharon had been drugged for months. Phyllis handed her a cup of coffee and asked if she wanted milk or sugar. Sharon wondered why Phyllis was suddenly being civil to her.
Phyllis told Sharon their only way out was to set aside their disdain for each other. Sharon agreed. They were interrupted by the siren and the voice asking if they were ready to play. Their phones dinged. “I bubble and flow, dark and gooey, but there’s acid behind the sweetness,” Sharon read. Phyllis knew it referenced the chocolate fountain that they had fought in.
They rehashed the situation when Phyllis had done a hit piece on her in Restless Style. Sharon admitted that pushing Phylis into the chocolate fountain was childish and something she regretted. Phyllis agreed that she shouldn’t have pulled her into the chocolate right afterward. Phyllis suggested the reason they were there was to deal with the real reason they’ve always hated one another: Nick.
Sharon reminded Phyllis that the whole thing between them began when Phyllis and Nick slept together. Phyllis stopped and said that was ancient history. She got upset and yelled at the speaker, wanting to know why they wanted to watch them go down memory lane for their own enjoyment.
Phyllis said she and Sharon had been put through hell. “Why are they doing this?” she cried to Sharon. Sharon told the speaker that they figured out both of his riddles and he said they could advance if they played by his rules. “What’s the point of playing the game if we’re not allowed to win” she asked. The voice told them it was a valid request. “I will consider a commensorate prize,” he said.
Phyllis berated Sharon for screwing everything up for them. Sharon assured her she wasn’t showing fear; she was playing along like they agreed to do. Phyllis and Sharon started arguing and decided they couldn’t work together.
At Crimson Lights, Daniel and Nick had coffee and talked about Phyllis and Sharon, both calling the night before to say they were not missing. Nick said it wasn’t adding up for him. He said Sharon would know that if she was missing for 10 minutes, the girls would freak out and would want to hear from her to make sure she’s okay. Daniel noted that Phyllis only called Summer as well. Nick thought the timing was weird that they would both disappear and call around the same time. Daniel thought Nick was looking for something to be wrong and was getting worked up over nothing.
Nick thought that both calling home with burner phones at the same time was a red flag. He stayed up most of the night wondering a bunch of what-ifs, and none of them were good. As Daniel shared that Phyllis told Summer not to let Billy know she left town, Billy walked in.
Billy joined Nick and Daniel. He wasn’t pleased that Nick knew about the media company's plans, but Nick assured him he wasn’t saying anything and wished the three of them nothing but success. Billy asked where Phyllis was.
Daniel told Billy that they had talked to Phyllis and she was fine. Billy noted that her phone was going straight to voicemail. Nick said he remembered her saying she had phone issues. Billy told them they could do better than that. Daniel fumbled over his responses, and Billy noted that Nick seemed worried.
Nick was sure that Phyllis was going to turn up and everything would be fine. He left, so Billy turned to Daniel and demanded to know the truth. Daniel said he was no longer concerned since Phyllis contacted Summer. Billy was agitated that they didn’t even have the base organization set yet, and she was out taking meetings without his knowledge. Worse, she told Nick about the company when she wasn’t supposed to. Billy said all of that was a bad start to the relationship. He stomped out, stating he was going to keep calling her and wanted Daniel to relay that she needed to call him back.
At the Athletic Club, Nick called Sharon and left a message. He told her that he’d been trying to call several more times. Although he told the girls she was okay, he wanted her to call him back.
