Here is The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, April 14, 2025, when Nick upsets Victoria, but pleases Sharon.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

At Crimson Lights, Nick thanked Victoria for covering for him at Newman while he’d been dealing with Sharon and Phyllis. Victoria was glad she finally had her partner back to help her run the company. Nick reluctantly requested that she cover for him a bit longer while he went to Europe with Sharon and Faith to visit Noah. Victoria protested that he needed a break from Sharon and her drama.
Nick defended that Sharon hadn’t asked for three psychopaths to target her, and Victoria conceded that Sharon was a victim. Nick insisted that Sharon needed to heal by spending time with her kids. Victoria snapped that he was always risking his life for everyone else, but he was a mortal just like their father. Victoria wished Nick would go back to living his own boring, safe life instead of being constantly on call to rescue his troubled exes.
Victoria confided that she woke up every morning worried about her family being okay. Nick empathized that Victor being shot had been hard on them. Victoria lectured that everyone was overlooking that Nick had put himself at risk, too. Nick assured her that he wasn’t going to Europe to rescue anyone, and he anticipated the trip would be relaxing and healing.
Victoria wondered if she should read more into the trip since Nick and Sharon had been spending a lot of time together. Nick insisted it was just a family trip to see Noah, but Victoria remained skeptical. Nick swore he was happy with the way things were. Victoria speculated that maybe Nick and Sharon were destined to be together, and they just needed time away from the distractions and drama to give them the space to do it.
Nick argued that he and Sharon were co-parents, and it was the same relationship he had with Phyllis. Victoria countered that he wasn’t running off with Phyllis and Summer. Nick declared that he wasn’t planning to get back with either ex, but Victoria worried about him being lonely because she knew he was happier when he was in a relationship. Nick figured he had his kids and work, and it was better for everyone if he stayed single.
At Society, Phyllis greeted Sharon, but they stopped short of hugging. They agreed that it would take some adjustment to not make snarky comments when they crossed paths. Sharon asked if Phyllis missed it, but Phyllis figured she had other people to hate on. Phyllis wondered why Traci wanted to talk to them. Sharon mentioned that she didn’t have much time that day because her family trip with Nick was back on. Phyllis forced a smile.
Traci arrived, and Phyllis begged her not to say that Martin had gotten away with what he’d done. Traci assured Sharon and Phyllis that the case against Martin was solid. Traci apologized for unwittingly bringing the man to Genoa City to wreak havoc on their lives. Sharon reiterated that Traci wasn’t responsible for the crimes Martin had committed. Phyllis admitted that she had questions because she was having a hard time letting everything go.
Traci offered to do everything she could to help. Phyllis asked about the exact moment Traci had realized the man who had survived was Martin, not Alan. Traci stammered that she wasn’t sure why it mattered. Sharon questioned why Phyllis seemed to be trying to find someone else to blame. Traci wished she’d known her fiancé hadn’t been Alan so she could have prevented what had happened.
Traci said she’d wracked her brain for a sign that she’d missed. Sharon contended that the man was a sociopath who survived by living through lies. Traci considered the time she’d spent as a writer, evaluating characters to figure out their motivations. She bemoaned that she’d been completely blind to the fictional reality Martin had created, and she’d fallen in love with the lies. Traci grappled with finding a way to live with that.
Phyllis said she was having a hard time processing why Martin had chosen her and Sharon. Sharon pointed out that he’d made her realize she hadn’t been responsible for Heather’s death, and Phyllis cited Heather’s demise as her and Sharon’s most recent source of tension. Phyllis theorized that perhaps Martin had wanted to help them heal from their decades-long animosity. Sharon noted that it tracked with his confession when he’d revealed his determination to prove he was a better therapist than Alan.
Traci recalled that Martin had used justifications when manipulating Ashley, but Alan had just wanted to help his patients. Phyllis spat that it didn’t seem like Martin wanted to help anyone but himself. Phyllis explained that she’d hoped putting a face to the voice from the clinic would allow her to move on, but it hadn’t. Traci cried that she hated what had happened to Phyllis and Sharon.
Sharon urged Traci to focus on her own healing, and she asked if Traci had people to talk to. Traci mentioned that she had plans to have dinner with Amy Lewis that night. Sharon sympathized that Traci wasn’t used to being the one to lean on others. Traci whimpered that she’d hoped to have that with Alan, and she’d given her whole self to him. Traci imagined she’d been lonely and desperate for love, so she’d missed the fact that the man she’d given her heart to was really a monster.
Sharon and Phyllis adamantly stated that Traci hadn’t deserved what Martin had done to her. Traci groaned that she was just questioning everything. Sharon promised Traci would find answers, but she advised Traci not to close herself off from loving again. Traci didn’t think she’d ever be able to forgive herself for enabling a man to hurt other people. Phyllis refused to put emphasis on what Martin had done because it gave him power. Traci committed to getting on with her life, and Phyllis swore Traci would get there. “We all will,” Sharon added.
After Traci left, Phyllis thanked Sharon for making sure she didn’t dump her anxiety and fear about Martin on Traci. Sharon responded that Phyllis had done the same thing for her. Sharon warned that they might not be able to make sense of everything, and she prepared to head out to meet Nick and Faith. Phyllis murmured that everyone was going away but her.
Sharon suggested that Phyllis also take some time off, and Phyllis joked that she could join Sharon and Nick in London. Phyllis reiterated that she was busy launching a new company with Billy. Sharon offered to be available if Phyllis needed to talk, but Phyllis insisted she was good. They awkwardly hugged and told one another to be safe. Sharon left.
Over the phone, Phyllis made plans to meet Daniel and Lucy later. Phyllis clucked that Daniel and Summer needed to stop fussing because she was fine, and she just needed to keep busy with work and do great things with Abbott Communications. She sent a text message to Billy to let him know she was safe, rested, and ready to roll, but she looked uneasy as she exited the restaurant.
At the cottage, Nick and Sharon headed out to pick up Christian and meet Faith at the airport.
At the Athletic Club, Jack and Diane lamented that no one had sensed that a sociopath had been living under the Abbott roof. Jack thought Traci needed all of them to pull together to help her. Diane asserted that Jack could count on her if the family thought it was appropriate. Jack sensed Diane was hurt because he hadn’t told her about Traci’s predicament, but he defended that he’d been honoring his sister’s wishes. Diane huffed that Jack had told Ashley.
Jack cited Ashley’s history with Martin in Paris, but Diane was still bothered that her husband hadn’t trusted her enough to confide in her. Jack explained that he’d been protecting Diane by not involving her. Jack reasoned that he hadn’t wanted anyone to behave differently until Traci’s fears were confirmed, and he asked if Diane honestly could have held her tongue if she’d faced Alan. Diane admitted it would have been a challenge.
Jack recalled that it had taken every bit of his willpower not to give away his suspicions when Martin had returned to town. Diane pointed out that Jack had let Martin near Traci, but she hesitated to make a big deal out of it because it made her sound selfish. Jack was dismayed that she felt his family hadn’t accepted her, and he referred to how they’d signed off on her project to redecorate the Abbott home. Diane was struck by the irony that even though she’d been trusted with every intimate detail of the family house, she still felt she was on the outside looking in.
Diane bemoaned that Ashley and Billy barely tolerated her, but Traci had done her best to accept her. Diane resolved to lower her expectations because it would be even harder for Traci to trust her after everything that had happened. Diane pledged not to put herself between Jack and his family when they needed him. She implored him to forget she ever mentioned it and turn his full attention to his family.
Jack assured Diane that her feelings were valid, and he apologized for keeping her in the dark about Alan. She accepted that the only way to win back his family’s trust was to earn it, and she hoped the changes to the house might be a small step in that direction. Jack reminded her that she was his family, too. Diane insisted that she’d be fine as long as he didn’t shut her out.
Traci joined Jack and Diane at the club. Traci apologized for shutting Diane out earlier, and Diane insisted that her offer to help still stood. Traci announced that she was there to let them know she’d decided to leave Genoa City. Jack protested that it was a time to be with family, but Traci indicated that Ashley was going with her to New York. Traci planned to lose herself in writing a new book. Jack realized from her tone that there was no talking her out of it.
Traci promised that she’d still call and lean on Jack and everyone else who loved her. Traci gushed that she couldn’t wait to see what Diane had done with the house. The women hugged, and Jack vowed that he and Diane would always be there for Traci. Choking back tears, Traci conceded that many things in her life had been called into question, but that was one thing she’d never doubt. Jack and Traci embraced.
