Here is The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 10, 2025, when Sharon and Phyllis' abductor and Traci's actual fiance is revealed.
What happened on The Young and the Restless

At the GCAC bar, Traci demanded that Alan tell her who he really was, but he insisted that she wasn’t making any sense and that he was the man who loved her. Ashley accused him of being Martin, surviving the fall, and taking Alan’s place. “Well, that is quite the accusation,” was all he could say. Traci begged him to tell her it wasn’t true.
“Alan” accused Ashley of wanting him and being jealous of his relationship with Traci and “pouring lies into her ears.” He asked Traci why it was so easy to believe Ashley’s lies and said she must never have loved him in the first place. He swore he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but Jack asked Chance to arrest him. Chance agreed it was time to do some questioning at the station.
“If falling in love with the most wonderful woman in the world is a crime, then I am guilty, but otherwise, I have committed no crime,” Alan/Martin said. He then complained that his trust had been broken as Traci was taking her love away. Ashley stomped over to him and said she knew with every fiber of her being that he was Martin, called him human garbage, and told him she hoped he rotted in hell. Chance told him he wanted to question him about a kidnapping, but he claimed innocence on that as well. He said he didn’t know how they had misjudged him so much and said he’d go to the police station to prove his innocence. Traci said that was the proof that he wasn’t Alan because he was more concerned with what he looked like than how gutted she was.
Traci, Jack, and Ashley sat down in the dining room. Traci lamented being duped, bringing Martin to town, and putting all of them in terrible danger, but her siblings insisted she wasn’t to blame. Traci thought she and Martin were perfectly in sync every day, and she was dazzled by the attention. She felt responsible for what happened to Sharon and Phyllis as well.
Jack and Ashley insisted Traci was not to blame for Martin’s manipulations. Jack suggested that Ashley stop by the clinic and check in with her doctor, and she agreed that it would be a good idea. Ashley praised Traci for telling Jack her suspicions. Jack said all they could do now was hope that Chance got the evidence to put Martin behind bars so they could start to put it all behind them.
Traci left to splash some water on her face. But when she got to the lobby, she pulled off her engagement ring as she recalled Alan’s proposal.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon and Nick met with Phyllis and updated her that the police found surveillance equipment and their phones at the farmhouse. Phyllis admitted she was struggling post-abduction, worrying that their captor was out there and was going to hurt them again. Phyllis wanted to look the person in the eye to tell him he didn’t break her. Sharon hoped Traci was okay and not in danger.
Sharon brought Phyllis a coffee, who thought she must have read her mind and thanked her for being so sweet. Nick was weirded out to see them get along and even joke a little, but thought their new bond was cool to see. Phyllis still wondered why they were chosen as targets. Sharon noted that the voice saw them as an experiment. Phyllis and Sharon smiled at one another when they agreed that he had messed with the wrong women.
At the police station, Chance repeated that he wanted to talk about the farmhouse, kidnappings, and Alan’s true identity. He insisted he was Alan Laurent. He told him that as someone who was married to an Abbott, Chance knew the family well and their mental health challenges that the family faced: Jack’s substance abuse, Ashley’s dissociative identity disorder, and Traci giving all of her power to her older siblings. He wished they’d get the psychological help they “desperately” needed. Chance said they were waiting for the fingerprints from the farmhouse, and then they’d continue talking.
Chance came back to the interrogation room and said he had two women who insisted on speaking to him. Assuming it was Traci and Ashley, Martin welcomed them. Instead, Sharon and Phyllis walked into the room. Martin introduced himself as Alan but Phyllis told him he knew who they were and called him a piece of crap.
Martin tried blaming Ashley and said that she was transferring her trauma onto Traci with her lies. Sharon said as a fellow therapist, she recognized the signs of delusional narcissism and how dangerous they could be. Martin appealed to Sharon about her hypnotherapy and how he’d helped. He tried to remind her that she trusted him and he was innocent.
Phyllis and Sharon answered the final riddles. “I’m the beginning and the end but you can’t see me. The answer was water,” Phyllis said, noting that Sharon saved her. Sharon added, “I mark my time with blood, sweat, and tears. The answer was heart, and you gave me something to slow mine down and stopped it.” She credited Phyllis for being the only reason she survived. Martin insisted that he didn’t know what they were talking about.
Phyllis pulled out a bottle of water, placed it before him, and suggested he must be thirsty after all the questioning. Martin began to squirm as Chance watched intently. Phyllis wondered if Martin would be afraid to drink the water or if he thought it could be drugged. Martin said it was unproductive and he was going to go, but Chance said he wouldn’t be going anywhere.
Martin asked if he was under arrest, needed a lawyer, or could make a phone call. Sharon reminded him of the only phone call he let them make, then listed what he did to them. Sharon and Phyllis demanded to know why he chose them and what his goal had been. Phyllis told him that he wasn’t that smart, he didn’t win, and they didn’t unravel. “We beat you!” Phyllis goaded. “Enough!!” Martin screamed as he jumped out of his chair. Sharon and Phyllis glowered at him but didn’t budge in fear.
Martin ranted that his life had been turned upside down, and none of them understood what had happened. Sharon asked him to enlighten them. “First, the obvious. You insist on calling Martin a psychopath, a monster,” he began. He said that even he didn’t understand Martin’s genius and brilliance. He claimed that Martin observed his (Alan’s) work and absorbed by osmosis, that Alan had the degrees but Martin had the experience and know-how as well.
“He proved he was a genius when he brilliantly facilitated Ashley’s breakthrough in Paris,” Martin said. He took credit for Martin’s attack on Ashley as an accomplishment that Alan couldn’t do. Sharon asked if his experiment with her and Phyllis also showed his genius. He asked if they were able to resolve their difference when they were together. “No,” Phyllis snickered, “Your experiment failed. You failed. Your experiment made me and Sharon hate each other more.”
Sharon and Phylis insisted they hated one another more than they did before his experiment, but Martin mocked them for trying ot use reverse psychology on him. Sharon adamantly listed off the qualities about Phyllis that she hated. Phyllis retorted that Sharon was a whining damsel in distress. As Martin watched, they began arguing about Nick and tried to put on a believable act. Phyllis asked why he didn’t let her go and leave Sharon to rot. Martin thought their act was heavy-handed for a confession.
Chance told Martin they didn’t need his confession as they had enough evidence against him. Phyllis laughed that he was a loser and a failure, and Sharon told him that Alan would be embarrassed by him. Martin exploded. He began yelling at them that Alan wasn’t worth the ink on his diploma and that he was the one who changed Ashley. He admitted he abducted Sharon and Phyllis and heightened their humanity.
Martin asked how it could be a crime to help them. Phyllis said that he was the one who would be trapped now in a cell. Sharon sarcastically said maybe they’d visit some time, and Phyllies added, “Yeah, maybe I’ll play a game or two with you.” Sharon and Phyllis left Martin alone with Chance, who promptly arrested him.
At the Athletic Club, Traci had just returned to show Jack and Ashley her bare hand when Sharon and Phyllis walked in. They told the Abbotts that Martin was outed by his own ego. Traci apologized to them, but Sharon insisted it wasn’t her fault. They agreed it would take time for all of them to heal. “But thankfully, it is over,” Sharon said.
