On The Young and the Restless, once again, the criminal Jordan Howard looks poised to make good yet another escape by rising from the dead, but did she have help?
The Young and the Restless: Jordan H… for Houdini
This coming week will be a trip. Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is dead, or is she? I mean dead, rigor mortis and all. Somehow, I’m not convinced yet. As mentioned a few times, sleeping pills were used in the poisoned tea — is she just in a really deep sleep? She could survive the deliberate overdose if that were what it was. Or maybe it was all part of Claire’s (Hayley Erin) plan and none of what she said to Jordan was actually a lie. Jordan has escaped many hairy situations. Is this yet another?

Claire has, in great length on The Young and the Restless, told Jordan that the Newman family’s manipulative and self-serving nature was awful. She criticized Victor's (Eric Braeden) tendency to prioritize his interests above all else, often at the expense of others, and then labeled it as, “All he does, he does for the family.” The Newman family used their strong ties as a form of control, and they were expected to conform to Victor’s agenda. A lot of what Claire said sounded believable, delivered with just enough venom in her statements to seem genuine.
Where to next on The Young and the Restless
This can go one of two ways: Jordan will come around from her chemical slumber because not enough sleeping pills were used, or she is just a strong, stubborn, evil thing who refuses to die. Or…Claire wasn't lying to Jordan and used just enough sleeping pills to make it look like she had poisoned her. Claire was, after all, trained by Jordan, raised to hate the Newmans and how to follow them and spy on them, how to use chemicals to poison, etc. Jordan’s very own protege: A trained killer and semi-spy. She is not quite the Black Widow from the Avengers franchise, but she has enough knowledge to be Jordan's sidekick and provide everything needed to let Jordan escape again to help her wage her war on the Newmans. Claire even mentioned stealing millions of dollars from the Newman fortune — no doubt that would be quite the climax to Jordan’s wave of terror. I can't see Jordan and Claire simply disappearing with the money, never to be seen again, as Jordan always wants more revenge, not exile.
What do you think? Is Claire telling the Newmans the truth — or is she really in it for the long con? Make your predictions below in the comments.
