This storyline has fans and viewers discussing whether Claire should seek her grandfather's approval for any relationship she has and whether she needs to grow up a bit. xoregonian started the discussion with, “My gosh this is so childish. No young new couple ever needs their grandparents to be involved in their love lives. No young couple would even give two thoughts about their grandparents' feelings towards their boyfriend. This is beyond tedious and juvenile for Clair to beg Kyle to get along with Grandpa. I'm also very tired of hearing that this is her "first family, first parents, first grandparents", etc.”

“Clair is worldly enough to know that what's between her and Kyle is private and they don't need Grandpa's okay. I had a very wealthy grandmother and I'm telling you, she did not play any role in my choices in men. Leave the grandparents out of it. Grow up a little more, Clair,” xoregonian concluded.

Nightrocker joked, “What Kyle’s Approval Rating?” Bailey1995 put, “Claire is smarter than we think. She knows that Victor is pushing for Summer to get back together with Kyle and she is trying to get ahead of it.”

CouchCruisin’ added, “Victor hasn't pushed anything. All he said is, he is not worried about Summer because she is strong like her mother.

Now, he did try to warn psychotic Claire that Kyle and Summer have a bond, and my two cents is - it's not just because they share a son.

I believe he is trying to prepare her for the inevitable.”

Xoregonian replied to this with, ”I think she is immature and very manipulative.. she has a very cold stare... I do not see a nice person.. I think one day the real Claire is about to be exposed.. but she is slowly being shown now.. killing Jordan so easily and with not a thought about it tells me A LOT>”
