Claire (Hayley Erin) likes the idea of living with Kyle (Michael Mealor), clearly, or they wouldn't have talked about it, but is she now fully understanding all the baggage that is already packed into this decision? Is it affecting her ability to actually follow through? Claire and Kyle discussed getting their own place together to share as a family unit rather than moving into Abbott mansion. But when Kyle suggested she come to the newly reno’d mansion while they looked for another place, Claire balked. What's really going on in The Young and the Restless.

Claire knows Victor (Eric Braeden) will scheme (and rage), and it’ll make it all worse if she moves into the mansion of his enemies. Little does Claire know that Victor has already worked out a deal with Audra that will have her actively try to break up her relationship with Kyle, regardless of where she lives.

“So one thing caught my eye today: Clair is backpedaling on the cohabitation with wimpy Kyle. I now predict they NEVER share the same home. Glad she mentioned that Summer will have a colossal fit because, of course she will. There have been endless posts about how Summer will not be happy if Clair and Kyle move in together. That's a given. Kyle actually said Clair[e] would have to be a little more like a stepmom to Harry. Um duh, Kyle. But today she was throwing excuses out there, reasons to NOT move in for a few more weeks. A lot can happen in a few weeks on this show. Audra will get her claws into Kyle. Holden may buy Clair another vesper (I hate that drink). Victor will cause disruption everywhere he can. So nope, don't think they will be getting "their own place" in the future.” — xoregonian

“I also don't think they will move in together but not because of a break-up. My prediction is that Harrison will see the new Abbott house and declare "I never want to live anywhere else daddy". That will be enough for Kyle to say they can't get their own place because of Harrison, and we all know Harrison rules the roost. I actually don't even think Claire will get mad, she's always accommodating when it comes to Harrison because she does adore him. There is another factor to consider, too. Claire’s father, Cole (J. Eddie Peck), has just returned to the ranch with a mysterious cough. Is this something more? Having her father back and possibly sick could be a reason for Claire to stay at the ranch — plus, she can keep an eye and an ear on Victor.
