On The Young and the Restless, Phyllis nearly died when her car was run off the road, and before that, Faith and Lucy were in a car accident, landing all of them in the hospital. Aside from the brilliant acting, they also need to look the part, and that is when Stacey Browning and the Y&R makeup team come in.

Working backstage, award-winning makeup artist Stacey Browning might not be a face you recognize, but chances are pretty good that some of the stars of the show would also be unrecognizable to you after being in her makeup chair.

Browning shared some of her work on her Instagram account, and her art is definitely impressive. From Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) black eye to Phyllis's (Michelle Stafford) and Faith’s (Reylynn Caster) post-car crash bruising and abrasions, Browning made the scenes look as realistic as they were portrayed.

From Special Effects to Glam

Not only does Browning do special effects of accidents and bruises, but she startled fans when she posted a recent shot of Daniel Romalotti’s (Michael Graziadei) head “bleeding.” Fans soon recognized it was a from a scene last fall when Sharon (Sharon Case) dreamt that he had come to her motel room with a head trauma.

But that’s not all that the talented artist does. She also posted beautiful pictures of the stars looking stunning for awards shows and events. Another post was a before and after with Zuleyka Silver (Audra Charles) showing her looks with and without makeup.

BFF and Willing Tester Courtney Hope

Browning has also shared several costumes and makeup face art on herself and Y&R stars, including one of her best friends, Courtney Hope, who plays Sally Spectra. Hope shared a video during the holidays of her transformation into the Grinch and replicated a scene from the movie. She also became a bunny, Tigger, and other characters.

The award-winning artist also posted several previous Halloween costumes of herself, Y&R cast members, and one of Annika Noelle, who plays Hope Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful, transformed into The Joker.

In February, the makeup team of The Young and the Restless, which included Stacey Browning, James Elle, Robert Bolger, Riley Nightingall, and Amanda Goldstein, was nominated for Best Make-Up for a Daytime Television, Game Show, or Talk Show at The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists (MUAHS) Guild Awards.

Watch The Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS or stream on Paramount Plus.
