Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
One of the many things that The Young and the Restless has been doing well this past year is creating really good mysteries. From who killed Heather to Damian turning out to be Holden, there were some fantastic gotcha moments that we didn’t see coming. Yes, we figured a lot of it out, but we’re die-hard loyal watchers who should be able to solve the mysteries as they come up, or in some cases, even predict exactly how it will play out before the storyline has barely begun. But in the case of Aristotle Dumas, the mysterious billionaire tycoon we didn’t know that we needed to know, it’s starting to get easier to say who he's not than figure out who he is. We’ve gone down the list dozens of times: Is he Cane? Tucker? Is he really Jack or Michael? Someone we haven’t met yet, or a villain from 35 years ago that we need to get the history on to understand his connection? Maybe we’re looking in the wrong direction. Is Aristotle actually a woman? Is it Lauren Fenmore? Or someone else who has been right under our nose this entire time? Inquiring minds want to know! Can we break out the champagne that Cane is returning, or toast Mamie to a job well done? Is Adam digging deep in his changed man attempts, or just bored and looking for something new? Was Chance’s return to the GCPD just a cover for a corporate life he’s kept hidden? Come on and tell us already! At least we know it’s not Ian and Jordan this time. I mean, it's not...right?
Want more details? We got you! Soap Central has the best full recaps on the internet! You can even go back over 30 years and read each and every one of ‘em. If you can’t wait until the next episode, we have daily spoilers, too! And whatever you do this weekend, do not…seriously, do NOT…forget to read the Two Scoops for some laughs (hey, admit it, we’re funny) in the as-close-as-we-can-come to being a watching party without actually being a show — and the best part is if you agree or disagree, we want to know!
