Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
Not-so-shockingly, Victor admitted to Michael that he actually knows Aristotle Dumas in some way. But what was the actual reveal du jour was that Billy also knows the mysterious business tycoon who loves a classic read. You might recall when Billy and Sally were in Paris last month, Billy slipped out of bed while Sally was sleeping and made some calls to a mystery person to give updates on his soon-to-be new company, Abbott Communications — but he also, on one call with whoever it was, asked them to find out everything they could on everything that Nikki had been doing since stealing his seat at the CEO desk over at Chancellor Industries. Who was Billy talking to? Seems like it could very well have been Aristotle Dumas because, at the end of today’s show, Billy once again left Sally unattended in his bedroom and made the mistake of wandering to the living room without his phone. Sally came in and told him that someone was trying to reach him, and because he didn’t keep his notifications secured with his secret buddy, she read on the screen that the chatty messenger was none other than Aristotle Dumas. Billy might be able to talk his way around the connection in some way tomorrow, but that deer-in-the-headlights look won’t help his cover. But still, it doesn’t tell us who Aristotle Dumas is, but linking him to Billy, and there’s still the mystery of how Damian is involved, is interesting — and I’m going to point out my original theory about who Billy should work with just still might pay off. Or this one about Aristotle and the Count of Monte Cristo if you want to, but carry on with your life if it will spoil the surprise.
