Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

Don’t be distracted by the glorious shades of purple he shines in: There are some very different faces of Damian. Let’s think back to the guy that Amy described, before we met Damian…er, Holden, pretending to be Damian. She said he was a hothead, and his bad temper and rash decision-making were part of why they didn’t get along and why he turned his back on her. But the guy we met, after we discovered he wasn’t Holden, was actually a deep-thinking planner. He was loyal, he was sensitive, he had a ride-or-die best friend, and he had spent years pretending to be the owner of companies for a mystery tycoon named Aristotle Dumas. Now, as more and more secrets and lies have been revealed, Damian just turned on his BFF Holden, not only accusing him of being a secret backstabber, spreading misinformation about him, and trying to sabotage his new life in Genoa City, but he did it in public and in front of Nate. Is this an act? For a guy who holds all his cards to his chest and has done his own fair share of lying, it was a weird twist for him to suddenly be suspicious of Holden for no apparent reason. Are we just on high alert like everyone else in Genoa City? Or does Damian — the one guy who knows Aristotle — have a reason to be overly sensitive about some simple misinformation? For a guy who loves a classic novel, methinks he doth protest too much.
