Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless
How soon we forget. Okay, look, we’re all for second chances and giving people room to grow. We’ll even have hope that they do, in most cases. But the way Sally and Chelsea villainized Billy today was a bit of a headscratcher. Billy wasn’t the one who destroyed their relationships, cheated, lied, or caused them the grief that Adam did — just a few months ago. Okay, maybe more than a few, but it’s a little soon to say that Adam being a monster was so last year. Sally and Chelsea acknowledge that Billy has enough reasons to hold a lifetime grudge against Adam, but at the same time, they condemn him for having one. It doesn’t make sense. At least, not in the same era that no one can ever forgive Billy for each and every mistake he’s ever made and constantly call him a loser…even today. How is the guy that actually did the introspection, had the mental health podcast (that they mocked), and saved Chelsea from suicide when Adam pushed her over the edge the villain? Does Billy have so much rage and contempt that all the things that Adam has done are being chalked up to him just being misunderstood, yet Billy needs to be forever chastised? Or are Sally and Chelsea just upset that Billy spoke the truth about the guy they both loved? After all, if Adam is a monster, then their love for him was, and is, one-sided. Are Chelsea and Sally right? Or is it just their pride talking?
