Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Adam asked Chelsea to work with him at Newman Media, and we have to wonder why. As Chelsea mentioned, she’s not qualified, media isn’t her expertise, and she’s a fashion designer, so it didn’t make any sense. Chelsea told Adam her experience didn’t really translate into making a move to Newman Media, and we agree. Adam’s reasoning for making her his COO was that it just felt right. Did it feel right to pretend he was proposing and get down on one knee to convince her to leave her career at Marchetti and join him for no apparent reason at his dad’s media company? Everyone (even Nikki!) has been saying for months what a great job Adam’s done at Newman Media since he took it over. He doesn’t need someone in that position; he just wants it, and he wants it to be Chelsea. But she brought up a curious question: What part of that idea had to do with Sally? Not that he’s holding a candle for his ex, but is this Adam’s M.O., to bring his partner to work every day so he can keep an eye on them? If she has all her eggs in the Adam Newman basket, is Chelsea more likely to stay if things turn rough? Adam and Chelsea just got back together, and everyone knows that working and living together takes a toll on an unprepared couple. If asking on one knee wasn’t a clue, it was a bad idea, then Adam needs more help than at the office.
