Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Jack’s reaction to Diane's request to update the Abbott mansion was understandable at first. He explained that everywhere he looked, he saw a memory, and he didn’t want them erased by a paintbrush or new wallpaper. But his constant worrying since he agreed to the refresh (“it’s not a reno!”) only got worse as the days went on, not better. If he trusts Diane with his heart and his family business, why not trust her to be able to give the place she also calls home a little pick-me-up? To hear Jack explain it to Kyle today, made a slight bit more sense, but the level to which he had himself worked up at was bizarre considering how many more things he’s forgiven, gotten past, and let go of over the year and was able to trust Diane explicitly. He went to bat with his family, and even their son, to defend her relentlessly and insist that they all give her a chance to be. Except, it seems, with the wall color. Luckily, all the conversations, questions, and worrying will all be put to rest now that the construction crews have packed up and moved on to their next project. We’ll get a better look at the mansion’s new look tomorrow, but so far, it seems Jack is quite happily stunned.
