Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Amy was given great news: Her doctor thought she was responding well to therapy, and she was a good candidate to keep going, which meant that her terminal diagnosis just took an upward swing. The catch? She had to jump on the opportunity and go back to Boston to continue with the treatment in the morning. But Amy had just had a great day sightseeing in Genoa City — she even saw Katherine Chancellor Park! Amy asked why she had to go right away and wondered if it couldn’t be delayed a while longer, or if the doctor could just give the instructions to someone local instead of being fit into the only space available at a specialized treatment center in Boston. Amy argued she was having such a good time with Damian. Okay, granted, they have some years to make up for, but being offered some life-saving treatment so she could spend more years rather than days with Damian seemed like a good deal. Amy’s hesitancy must be feeding into conspiracy soapists everywhere who thought that she couldn’t be trusted since day one. Well, new day one. Original Amy’s trustworthiness was never in doubt to my recollection, but that was decades ago, and anything’s possible now. Regardless, it was an odd reaction for someone who should have been packing instead of complaining that it wasn’t conveniently timed enough to save her life. On the upside, though, we would much rather see Amy beat this thing, as Damian put it, than the alternative; we just wish she had been quicker to be on board with the offer.
