Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, we can totally understand where Victoria is coming from when she wants to protect Claire. Victoria missed out on all the years of her growing up, and it turned out that Claire was being raised by a psycho who wanted their family killed. She was just recently put in danger of a return by Aunt Jordan, which prompted Claire to not only consider murder, but had Victoria and Nikki convinced to actively go along with the plot (and that’s not even including the original murder attempts that Claire was very much a part of). But now, life is back to normal, and Claire’s biggest threat is her grandfather trying to wreck her first real relationship. Claire announced to Nikki and Victoria that she and Kyle were thinking about shacking up and got mixed reactions. Nikki, surprisingly, was the one who encouraged Claire to live her best life, but it was Victoria who tried to slow her down as if she thought her little girl was growing up too fast. First, Victoria worried that Claire wanted to live with Kyle, thinking that it would push Victor to be even meaner to his granddaughter. But then, Claire said she was falling in love with Kyle, and Victoria was stunned. Falling in love with the guy you’re thinking of moving in with? Say it isn’t so! It’s okay for Victoria to fret a little, but falling in love with the guy Victoria approves of seems like an odd choice. And…could someone give Victoria a reminder that Claire was already an adult when she met her?
