Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Michael Baldwin is a force to be reckoned with. If he’s got your back as your attorney, he’ll pull out all the stops, even if it means breaking the law to do whatever he can for his client. If you’re his friend, however, well…that’s subjective. Lifelong buddies Michael and Phyllis have seen and done it all, but when Phyllis needed him the most last year, he came to her hospital room where she had just woken up from a coma after nearly dying and told her that he was representing her archnemesis (who she believed had just tried to kill her) and that Sharon was his friend as well. A lesser of a friend by anyone’s recollection, but he was taking her side against Phyllis. To call it inexplicable would be correct, except that this is Michael. Now, Diane is wondering where his loyalties lie as well. Is it with her, his other BFF? Or is it with Victor, his somewhat newly described father figure for whom he’d happily take a bullet? And to what end will Michael go to please faux-Daddy Dearest? Will he actually try to sabotage Diane’s family? Of course not, he protested while doing exactly that. Michael arranged for the spies to be planted at Jabot, and immediately went running to Victor after his conversation with Diane. How many more bullets is Michael willing to take — and why?
