The Daily Y.A.P.P. for The Young and the Restless, April 17: Audra can't help herself

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Audra managed to double down on her faux pas from yesterday, despite Nate telling her exactly what we did: quit being so obvious in front of Kyle. Nate even told Audra that marching up to Kyle and telling him that she was coming for him was a bad move, but Audra’s response should have been shocking, but it wasn’t. Because, it’s Audra. She flat-out told Nate that she only cares about two things in life: her success and herself. That should have sent Nate running for the door, but he was probably as mind-blown as the rest of us and couldn’t fathom that she meant it the way that she sounded. But she did. And to prove it, Audra spent date night ogling Kyle. And yes, one could argue that she’s already enacting the plan that hasn’t been drawn up yet, but it makes you wonder what’s really going on. Audra put aside everything she knows about Victor to jump on this deal he offered to break up Kyle and Claire. The motivation, she claims to herself and Sally, is that she’ll get her own cosmetics company out of it. We don’t doubt that it’s been hard for her to be unemployed for a few months, but to say that she hasn’t had any other opportunities isn’t true. She could be working with the Winters gang, or she could be with her BFF at Marchese. But she said no to those chances and instead jumped on the chance to seduce Kyle — and at the cost of being at Victor’s mercy. Hard to believe it’s all about revenge at this point. Is Audra another woman who has unresolved feelings for Kyle?
