Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Audra barely gives us a glimpse into her past on any given day, but there’s a reason for that: she doesn’t look back. Audra holds her feelings, her family, and her past relationships close to her chest, and her badge of honor revolves around her business experiences. Audra seems to measure herself and her “success” solely based on her corporate achievements. But, as much as everyone (including Audra) claims that she’s a boardroom dynamo, reality is that she hasn’t had that much luck in business. Aside from being fired several times, she’s had the rug pulled out from under her as well. She is someone who constantly has her eye on the future, but maybe she needs to pause and take a look back — then not repeat her mistakes. Not only has Audra teamed up with Victor again, but today she marched over to her target and rival, and gave him the heads up that she’s coming for him. Is that strategic? Maybe, if her only goal is to attract and lure Kyle from his relationship with Claire on the basis that he likes a fierce woman. It might even be the first step for some bigger plan, if she had one, but the ink isn’t even dry on the “plan,” which, let’s face it, is really just an idea with an end goal at the moment, but there’s nothing in the middle yet. Audra could have skipped the nanner-nanner-boo-boo moment with Kyle and given herself another day to think of a solid action plan, even if it wasn’t about seducing Kyle from Claire. If she wants to be a real contender with Jabot, she’s got some work to do, and giving the competition the heads up served her no purpose in the scheme of things.
