The Daily Y.A.P.P. for The Young and the Restless, April 10: Chance gets on-the-job training

Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, Chance made an arrest, but how he got there was interesting. I know we rip on him a lot, but Chance gives us so many reasons to. In the Case of the Abducted Enemies, Chance handled it the same way he did Heather’s murder. Just like he drove back and forth from the police station to Daniel’s apartment every time he had a shred of an update, Chance drove all the way out to the Newman ranch on the outskirts of town to update Sharon and Nick. He even got Phyllis to go out there to tell them that he had found out about the farmhouse lease being charged to a facility in Paris. Back he came an hour later when he found out fingerprints had been taken. I guess he planned to return after they had been analyzed, but was interrupted by Jack, who summoned him to GCAC. There, Chance forewarned Martin that he’d be questioning him but then let Jack, Ashley, and Traci do the questioning. At the station, he brought Martin to the interrogation room, but then — you guessed it — Phyllis and Sharon played good cop/bad cop and badgered him til he broke. Chance watched intently but didn’t take notes, so we’ll see when the next crime inevitably happens if he retained what he learned and does things a little differently next time.
