Sharon and Nick took Faith home from the hospital. Victor and Nikki visited, and Sharon immediately looked agitated. Sharon claimed to have forgotten her purse at the hospital and said she needed to get it. Nick offered to go instead, but Sharon insisted on leaving. On the front porch, Cameron told Sharon that he knew where she was really going, and he 100% approved. “They can talk all they want about how it’s an accident, and it was no one’s fault, but we know exactly who’s responsible, don’t we,” Cameron said.

Faith recounted to Victor and Nikki how the accident had happened. Faith went upstairs to rest. Once Faith was gone, Nikki said that Sharon seemed off. Nikki noted that she'd seen the way Nick had watched Sharon leave, and Nikki could tell he was concerned she would break. Victor asked if Sharon would drag Nick on her ups and downs again. Nick told them that he would do whatever it took to help his family, just as they would. Victor suggested that Nick work from home for the next few days. Nick agreed because he wanted to keep an eye on things.

At home, Heather and Daniel listened as Lucy complained about her punishment. Lucy agreed to some terms but wanted to get her driver’s license. Daniel and Heather stayed firm in their decision and added that Lucy had to write a letter of apology to Faith and one to Nick and Sharon. Lucy balked, but she was even more upset to learn it was Summer’s idea.

Sharon went to Heather and Daniel’s apartment and said she wanted to discuss Lucy. Heather and Daniel explained that Lucy’s punishments were the same as if she had been arrested. Sharon said it was a slap on the wrist. Sharon agreed that Lucy had made a stupid mistake, but Sharon insisted that it could have ended much worse. Sharon told Daniel that he knew what she meant. Cameron cheered Sharon on and said, “Now we’re getting somewhere.”

Heather told Sharon to stop going after Daniel for what had happened to Cassie. “It was tragic and heartbreaking, but he suffers with it, too,” Heather said. Sharon said that Daniel’s suffering was not equal to hers. “What you allowed Lucy to do was outrageous. I blame you! She was grounded for drinking already, and you let her do it again,” Sharon ranted.

“Let her?” Heather asked. Heather and Daniel told Sharon that they were sorry if what had happened had brought back painful memories, but they were punishing Lucy the way the they thought was appropriate. Sharon told them to add another punishment: Lucy was not allowed anywhere near Faith again.

Sharon told Heather and Daniel that Lucy’s “relentless pursuit” of a friendship with Faith was comparable to stalking. Heather said Sharon was being overly dramatic. “We’ve acknowledged fault and held Lucy accountable,” Heather said. Sharon reiterated that Lucy wasn’t allowed near Faith again. Sharon stormed out. “Did that just happen?” Daniel asked. Heather said Sharon was unhinged.

At the elevator, Cameron told Sharon that she'd done well, but he'd expected more fireworks. Sharon called Heather "a bitch." Sharon was livid that Heather and Daniel questioned her rights as a mother.

Heather told Daniel that Sharon was right about one thing, that Lucy pursued a friendship with Faith and might not have taken rejection that well. Heather wondered if a family vacation for a few weeks might do them all some good. Lucy overheard and had another outburst. Lucy said they would make it worse for her by taking her away. Daniel told Lucy to knock off playing victim to everything and dial back her attitude. Lucy apologized, and Heather explained that a vacation could help them bond as a family and relieve some stress. They decided to lighten the mood and go out for dinner together.

While Claire and Kyle were talking in the Abbott mansion living room, Jack came home. Kyle immediately grew irritated and expected a fight, so Jack excused himself to make calls from another room. Claire offered to help with the family drama. She said that hate and resentment had consumed her Aunt Jordan, and she didn’t want that to happen to Kyle. Kyle admitted that feelings of hurt and anger were eating away at him, but he didn’t know how to stop it.

Kyle said he wasn’t ready to be the one to make the first move. He told Claire that it would matter a lot to him if his dad would say he was sorry. “One simple sentence. Is it too much to ask for?” Kyle wondered. From the doorway, Jack said, “No, Kyle. No, it isn’t.”

Claire left so Jack and Kyle could talk. Jack apologized to Kyle and said that he missed his son. Jack said he hated all the anger and distance and how every conversation turned into an argument. Jack admitted he could take some blame for that. “Some of the blame? You chose a side that wasn’t mine. Mom fired me, and you signed off on it!” Kyle barked. “There is plenty of blame to go around. I’ll accept my part and suggest you do the same,” Jack said. Kyle asked Jack, “If you hadn’t overheard me and Claire, would it have even occurred to you to apologize?”

“I heard you say what you needed, and I reacted,” Jack said. He pointed out that Kyle wasn’t acknowledging his role in anything. Jack asked if Kyle had been acting in front of Claire with all of his warm and kind words. Kyle got angrier and stormed out, ignoring Diane as she arrived at home.

Jack told Diane that he had apologized, but Kyle hadn’t thought he was sincere. Diane listened to Jack’s summary of his conversation with Kyle and noticed that her name hadn’t been mentioned. “Did I cause more damage by leaving Kyle or by coming back?” Diane wondered.

Kyle found Claire at the park. She said there had to be a way for him to bridge the gap with his parents. “Let me help you. What do you have to lose?” Claire asked.

Faith got up from resting and sat with Nick at the table. They discussed Sharon’s emotional and mental state. Faith told Nick that Sharon was having nightmares about Cameron, and Faith had caught her mom talking to Cameron, as well. Faith admitted that sometimes she also had nightmares about Cameron. Sharon came home, and Faith said her appetite was back. She convinced her parents to go out for dinner. Nick said it was too tiring for her, and they would pick up food and bring it home to eat. Faith convinced him she could go.

Sharon, Nick, and Faith got a table at Society moments before Daniel, Heather, and Faith walked in. As the Romalottis headed for a table, they passed the Newmans and said hello. Lucy asked Faith if they could step outside for a moment to talk. Faith agreed, but Sharon adamantly told Lucy to stay away from Faith. Everyone encouraged Sharon to calm down, but she got louder. “You don’t tell me what to do!” Sharon snapped as she got up and walked over to Faith. Lucy was horrified as Sharon announced that she, Nick, and Faith were leaving. Sharon pulled Faith out of the restaurant. Nick was embarrassed and followed them out as Daniel apologized.
