At Crimson Lights, Billy and Sally discussed their stress levels regarding Adam and Chelsea. Billy told Sally that Chelsea wanted a break from him, but he wasn't clear to what extent. Sally said she couldn’t handle waiting any longer, and they deserved answers.

Sally told Billy she was tired of the evasions, stonewalling, and lies from Adam. Billy said that until he heard it from Chelsea, there was a chance they were off-base with their suspicions. Sally wondered if Adam and Chelsea had had feelings resurface when they'd been together in Baltimore for Connor, the same way Adam and Sally had bonded over losing Ava.

Sally said that if Billy wanted to wait for Chelsea, that was up to him, but their relationships with Adam and Chelsea wouldn’t survive if they didn’t get answers. Billy wanted to wait until Chelsea came to him, and he said he wouldn’t give her an ultimatum. Sally said she was going to make Adam look her in the eye and see that everything was at stake, and she hoped he would then tell her the truth.

Kyle sat in the park and texted Claire to ensure she had made it home safely, and he thanked her for helping him with house hunting. He smiled at her chipper response, but the smile faded when Adam approached. The two men bickered, and then Adam told Kyle that he should just thank Adam for Glissade's free press and stop being a "condescending ass."

At home, Diane told Jack that Victor’s intention was always the same—to protect his family and make his enemies pay dearly. Jack said that he'd looked at Glissade's marketing, and every bit of promotional material was from Newman Media. Victor said that Adam and Nick were successful CEOs and that Nikki never liked being on the sidelines, so it made no sense that Victor would change that. Jack wondered if sending Adam to Newman Media was to get Adam to handle something Nikki wouldn’t.

Meanwhile, Kyle and Adam found common ground as fathers who had felt helpless about their children’s traumas. Kyle’s rage emerged, and he snapped that he'd been helpless when his mother had fired him and when she'd taken a job that should have been his. Adam said Kyle’s only qualifications were his last name and his father’s generosity. Adam shook his head at Kyle’s entitlement and said that Kyle was "damn lucky" to have Jack as a father.

Jack called Adam and asked to meet at the jazz club. Jack told Adam he was concerned about Victor, Newman Media, and Kyle. Adam said he couldn’t tell Jack too much, but he insisted their friendship was important. Adam told Jack that he wouldn’t be involved with anything that negatively affected Jack, and he promised to protect Jack. Jack asked if Adam would do the same for Kyle. Adam told Jack that Kyle’s hostility was no joke.

Jack said Victor had preyed on Kyle’s frustration and humiliation and was using him in a war game against the Abbotts. Jack wanted to stop Victor from using Kyle, but Adam said Kyle had always had everything handed to him. He advised Jack to let Kyle learn a real lesson.

When Kyle arrived at home, Diane told him he wanted to move out for the wrong reasons and that she loved him. Diane cried while telling Kyle that she was sorry for all the hurt but wanted to make things right. Kyle told his mom that her tears made him want to leave even more. Kyle asked Diane if it had been love when she had fired him and then walked out.

Jack arrived at home and told Diane that Adam had all but confirmed that Victor was behind Glissade, but if Adam knew the bigger plot, he hadn’t shared it. Noting that Kyle would be expendable to Victor, Jack said that the only way to get Kyle out of the mess was to cripple Glissade.

Sally went home, and Adam told her about his meeting with Jack. Sally told Adam that she wasn’t paranoid, and she wanted answers. Sally said that, as Adam's partner, she loved him—and she deserved the truth. “A simple question, yes or no. Did you sleep with Chelsea in Baltimore?” Sally asked.

Chelsea returned to Crimson Lights and found Billy waiting for her. She could see how upset he was, and she said she couldn’t handle the lies and running away anymore. She told Billy she was ashamed of herself and that she had betrayed his trust and love. “I did something horrible, and I hate myself for it,” Chelsea said. Billy held Chelsea as they both cried.

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS.
