No more kidnappings, enough is enough cry the fans of The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless, there has been a spate of kidnappings in a row, and the fans are over those being the storyline for their favorite soap. New storylines, please, they cry.

Kidnappings and hostages on The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has used kidnappings ad nauseam, say the fans, and upon further investigation, there seems to have been an inordinate number of these over the years. Shall I recap? These do not comprise the entire list, but a fair share of them. There was Cricket and Nina who were held by Michael, Brad was held in a cage by Lisa, Sheila held in a cage by Paul, Phyllis and the babies held at gunpoint by Sheila, Victor holding his first wifes boyfriend in the cell in the basement of the ranch, Blade Bladeson held captive in the Bahamas by his evil twin brother (How many evil tiwns have we had?), Sheila kidanpped Lauren, see what i mean? And that's even adding in recent events with Sharon being kidnapped by Ian Ward and Jordan Howard and then being so lucky, getting kidnapped again like a week later with her bestie Phyllis and being held hostage in an abandoned Asylum. Lucky girl.

Who do you think will be kidnapped next?

Art Vandalay , “After all of the rotten things he’s done to people, I would love to see Victor get kidnapped and be held for ransom. Although it would probably end up like O. Henry’s “The Ransom of Red Chief.”

The fans and viewers of The Young and the Restless have spoken! Who would you like to see get kidnapped next? We need a poll, LOL, but seriously, who do you want to see in the cage/basement/remote location next? If only Chance (Connor Floyd) was like Liam Neeson in the 2008 movie Taken. I’d love to have heard him say to the mystery kidnapper over the phone, “I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money, but what I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let Sharon and Phyllis go now that’ll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you, but if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you and I will kill you.” Wouldn't that just spice things up nicely?
