Get ready for a special hourlong episode revolving around The Young and the Restless' Sharon. The episode explores the what's been, what is, and what could be.
Recently, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) hasn't been a focal point for The Young and the Restless like she used to be, but an upcoming episode looks to change that.
According to Soap Opera Digest, this Friday's episode will be a Sharon-centric episode, a decision that came as quite the shock to Sharon's portrayer, Sharon Case. Case recounted learning about the special episode dedicated to Sharon. "I remember paging through every page, and I kept seeing Sharon's name," recalls the actress. "I couldn't believe it. I'm like, 'Still me,' and then, 'It's still me. What? Wait, what is going on? This can't be right. This is all me. I'm on every page of the script.'"
Sharon's at an important crossroads in her life, both personally and professionally, and the episode will explore her future in all areas of her life. Personally, her relationship with Chance Chancellor (Connor Floyd) faces a significant roadblock in the form of her ex-stepdaughter Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). Professionally, Sharon's on the verge of officially launching the company left to her by deceased madman Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby), in addition to her duties as Genoa City's favorite coffeehouse therapist.

Regarding the important decisions ahead for Sharon, Case hints that the dream taking over the episode will be an important piece of the puzzle. She stated, "I don't know if it's a real crossroads, like one thing or another she's trying to figure out exactly. She is trying to just piece together where she's come in her life and what she's achieved and what else she now needs to do. She's trying to figure out what the dream means in the dream and trying to sort her way through it and figure out, 'What is the message here?'"
With Chance, the battle lines are drawn, with Summer's desire for him becoming an overwhelmingly obvious obstacle for their future. If that wasn't enough stress for Sharon to manage, the state of her new company is consistently in flux, with a great deal of upheaval and uncertainty in her short tenure as CEO.
