Fan favorite Michael Damian will step back into the role of Danny Romalotti this fall.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but no one has ever said how long that absence needs to be. It's been only about four months since Michael Damian last appeared on The Young and the Restless, but the fan favorite is already gearing up for another trip to Genoa City.
Y&R announced today that Damian will be making another set of appearances on the CBS soap, beginning next month.
Damian joined The Young and the Restless in June 1981. He remained with the top-rated daytime drama series through 1998 before exiting the show. Since that time, he's made a bunch of guest appearances. His most recent stint on the show was just a few months ago, when Danny appeared at Phyllis' memorial service.

Outside of Y&R, Damian produced and directed the upcoming film Paris Christmas Waltz, which recently wrapped production in Paris.
His second film with Lindsay Lohan, Irish Wish, premieres on Netflix in early 2024.
Look for Michael Damian to make his first Y&R appearance on Thursday, September 28. There's no word on how long he'll be around this time, but a show spokesperson describes it as an "extended stay."
