Fans are sending love to Max Page (ex-Reed Hellstrom, The Young and the Restless), who is back in the hospital for issues related to his congenital heart defect.
Well wishes are pouring in for The Young and the Restless alum Max Page (ex-Reed Hellstrom), who is once again back in the hospital just as he's starting his senior year of high school.
His mother, Jennifer, took to Instagram with the disheartening news, sharing, "Well, here we are in a familiar place, the Children's Hospital L.A. Max is experiencing sporadic fevers and is also facing another surgery to replace his leads and pacemaker."
Born with a congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot, Page has undergone over a dozen different surgeries and procedures over the years, with one of his more recent operations being having his pacemaker replaced in December 2020. That surgery in combination with his previous surgeries is creating difficulties for the actor's current health situation.

"It's a tricky surgery due to scar tissue build up so we are ready to engage everyone for prayers," Page's mom explains. "Max's request is a no fever day! We have our focus board started. Max is focusing on Trust, Worship, and Peace... the kind only the Lord can pour down."
She continues, "This came out of the blue, so we are still getting our footing. But we know we aren't alone and we are grateful. My prayer as a mama is Max can heal quickly and get back to his senior year! But until then, we will take it as it comes. We will post when we know more."
A few hours after her first post, Jennifer gave an update and shared that her son's surgery has been postponed until at least Monday. "So, until then, will make the best of it," she writes, adding, "Max loves the texts and messages from friends and family -- they have really helped."
Page, who had to give up his role on Y&R due to his condition and the multiple surgeries it has required, has been advocating for children's health issues and better medical care for several years. He spoke before Congress in 2017 and shared at the time that he hoped he could make a difference by sharing his story with the Senators in person.
"It's important to share stories," said the actor, who wears a pacemaker and has an artificial pulmonary heart valve. "I want the Senators to put a face to children's health care. I tell them my story, what surgeries I have had, and how much I needed my doctors now and in the future... If the funding [for children's health issues] gets cut, there might not be the care there for me and other kids -- it's always in the back of my mind."
Page played Victoria and J.T.'s son, Reed Hellstrom, from 2009 to 2015. He is also known for playing little Darth Vader in Volkswagen's popular 2013 Super Bowl commercial. His most recent credit is the 2019 horror film Between Darkness.
