One of The Young and the Restless's most recent scribes has put her Genoa City pen to rest
There has been another change to The Young and the Restless' writing team, though this one has until now gone under the radar.
Fans have wondered about the fate of The Young and the Restless' writer Jean Passanante ever since Charles Pratt Jr. took over as head writer earlier this year. While her former cowriter, Shelly Altman, has reportedly moved to the position of breakdown writer, Passanante confirms she is no longer with the soap now that Pratt has taken the writing helm.
The longtime soap opera scribe addressed her position on Twitter in response to a user tweet. "I'm no longer with Y&R so I'm glad you're still with me!" she wrote.
Passanante, who began the position of Y&R co-head writer in December 2013, has served as head writer for many other daytime shows as well, including All My Children, Another World, As the World Turns, and One Life to Live. She's also won Daytime Emmy awards as part of the writing team for both ATWT and OLTL.
