Camryn Grimes' Mariah carries on

Camryn Grimes has inked a contract with The Young and the Restless. The actress is the youngest-ever winner of the Outstanding Younger Actress Daytime Emmy.

Expect to see much more of Camryn Grimes (Mariah) in the weeks and months ahead. The Emmy winner announced that she's signed a contract with The Young and the Restless.

"You spoke, they listened," Grimes shared on her Twitter account. "Officially under contract for #YR!"

This, of course, is not the first time that Grimes has appeared on television's top-rated soap. She previously appeared as Cassidy "Cassie" Newman from 1997 through 2005 when her character was shockingly killed off. Grimes made a handful of guest appearances as Cassie's spirit from her 2005 exit through 2013.

Grimes returned to The Young and the Restless in January 2014 playing Cassie's look-alike, who just last week was revealed to be Mariah.

Grimes has been nominated in the Outstanding Younger Actress category at the Daytime Emmys on four different occasions. She took home the award in 2000, when, at age 10, she became the youngest person to ever win in the category. That record still holds.
