In May, someone in Genoa City will be paying a visit to the doctor. But who will need the services of an OB/GYN?
The doctor is in -- or will be in. The Young and the Restless has cast Helen Slater in the role of Dr. Chiverton, an OB/GYN.
The casting news was first announced by TV Guide's Michael Logan, who, on Twitter, cautioned fans not to "assume the obvious" about who Dr. Chiverton's patient might be.
Slater is known for roles in both film and television. In 1984, she appeared in the motion picture Supergirl, and ten years later, she starred in Lassie. On TV, she enjoyed a two-year appearance in The Lying Game.
Slater first airs on May 2.
