Fans who miss seeing Michelle Stafford as Phyllis on The Young and the Restless now have a new place where they can catch a glimpse of the Emmy winner. Stafford headlines her own web series, The Stafford Project.
It's been just about a week since Michelle Stafford's (Phyllis Summers) final The Young and the Restless scene aired, but fans missing the actress' presence in Genoa City will be pleased to know that Stafford's latest project is now up and running. The project, aptly titled The Stafford Project, gives the two-time Emmy winner a chance to show off her talent as a comic actress.
"A primary reason I have left Y&R is that I want to do comedy," Stafford told TVGuide's Michael Logan. "I decided I needed to create something for myself, and you write what you know, right?"
The Stafford Project pokes fun at reality television, Hollywood, and even Stafford's own life.

"I teamed up with my two friends, Paige Long and Paige Dorian, and we came up with The Stafford Project as a way of finding the humor in all the degrading things that happen to me. I just lead that kind of life. Things go wrong. Things blow up in my face. But even the most difficult things in my life are riddled with comedy, like how hard I tried to have a child," Stafford noted. "Plus there's all the reaction and the criticism I get because I'm not married. [...] So I thought, why not turn all this into a web show? Self-deprecation is my friend."
In the premiere episode of The Stafford Project, Stafford, who plays an actress by the name of Michelle, is badgered by two agents who want her to drop out of the "dying" world of daytime to star in a reality series.
The Stafford Project is available on YouTube. You can watch the first episode below:
