TVGuide Canada's Nelson Branco reports that Y&R's head writer, Maria Arena Bell, has revealed that Coleman will reprise her role as Hope "in a special episode surrounding Adam Newman."

It's been more than two years since Coleman last appeared as Hope. The actress originated the role in 1993. The following year, she received a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category.

In addition to her work on The Young and the Restless, Coleman has also appeared on Guiding Light and Santa Barbara.

Coleman reports to work in early July. She will first air on August 13.
