This week on The Young and the Restless, the families of Genoa City are celebrating Thanksgiving. While the show won’t be aired on Thursday, November 28 or Friday, November 29, the Newmans and Abbotts will share their festivities with us on Wednesday, November 27.
Thanksgiving on The Young and the Restless
At the Abbott mansion, the table is set and ready for a family feast. But Ashley (Eileen Davidson), Traci (Beth Maitland), and Alan (Christopher Cousins) are shocked at who comes to join them for the holiday.

When they spot Diane (Susan Walters) in their foyer, the gloves come off. Traci can’t believe the audacity Diane has to try to ruin Thanksgiving by upsetting the family. Meanwhile, Ashley offers to throw Diane out of the house.
However, nothing shocks everyone more than when Jack (Peter Bergman) puts his arm around Diane and announces that she isn’t going anywhere. Kyle (Michael Mealor), perhaps, has the most right to be upset by Diane’s presence. But if he can have dinner with his parents, then his aunts may have no choice but to slide over and give Diane a seat at the table.
Jack and Diane have a confession to make. They put on a good act, and not one family member knew they were pretending to fight. Will their family forgive them?
Summer (Allison Lanier) arrives at the Abbotts to spend time with Harrison (Redding Munsell), who has made some Thanksgiving art. Kyle brings Claire (Hayley Erin), and they spend the holiday together as a couple, but neither Summer nor Claire stays for dinner.
First Thanksgiving at the new ranch house
The Newmans have a lot to celebrate this year. Victor (Eric Braeden) managed to rebuild the ranch house without anyone knowing, and other than Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon’s (Bryton James) wedding, this is the first holiday they’ll be able to spend together.
Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are grateful that they bought back Chancellor Industries and that Nikki will run it. After her first day on the job, Claire got an eye-opener as to what the future could look like if she returned to the corporate world. Billy (Jason Thompson) warns her to stay away from the cutthroat Newmans, but on Thanksgiving, Victor warns Claire to stay away from Kyle. Claire takes a phone call away from the group — is it Kyle letting her know he is grateful for her being in his life, or is it Aunt Jordan lurking nearby, not liking that her niece and nephew, Cole (J. Eddie Peck) are members of the Newman family?
Meanwhile, Victor tries to play matchmaker for Adam (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), and they are welcomed as guests to dinner at the ranch. But will Adam be able to refrain himself, or will he needle Nick (Joshua Morrow) about Sharon (Sharon Case) some more?
Holiday at Hastings
Nate (Sean Dominic) recently discovered that he has a half-brother, but he’s not exactly at the stage of feeling grateful about it. He has been giving it a lot of thought as to how involved he wants to be in his brother’s life — if he can even find him. And only if he chooses to try to find him.
Amy Lewis (Valarie Pettiford) is still in town and anxiously awaiting Nate’s response to whether or not he’s willing to help.
For Thanksgiving, Nate opens his home to Amy. Audra (Zuleyka Silver) also comes over, and the two women will meet. Audra wondered if Amy was legit or using Nate. What will she think once she gets to know her?
Amy wonders if her being there affects Nate’s decision, but he assures her it isn’t. But does Nate have the answer Amy has been waiting for?
