What to expect on The Young and the Restless
Y&R’s 13,000th episode was full of surprises. Family and friends gathered to see Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Devon (Bryton James) wed in the newly rebuilt ranch house.
Kindly allowing the bride and groom to enjoy their special day without being ruined by drama, the hosts and guests did their best to shield Abby and Devon from all of the explosive issues happening around them.

The happy newlyweds left for their honeymoon, completely oblivious that some of their loved ones had their lives blowing up. Now that they’re back from Fiji, Abby and Devon will be shocked to learn everything they missed.
Victor (Eric Braeden) bought Chancellor, ousting Abby’s uncle Billy (Jason Thompson) from his CEO seat. Devon’s sister, Lily (Christel Khalil), lost the battle for her title back, even though she and Billy had worked out an agreement to run the company together. Now Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is in the CEO chair, and Billy and Lily are unemployed…again. Devon had promised to wait until after the wedding to speak his mind on the matter, but Victor tried several times to consider the matter dealt with. When Devon finds out Victor called a peace treaty prematurely, will he have something to say? Or does he just want Lily to return to Winters and put it all behind them?
Time for justice
A loud crash was heard outside as Devon and Abby were at the altar. Nick (Joshua Morrow) went to investigate and found Phyllis unconscious in a burning car. While he and Chance (Conner Floyd) raced to save Phyllis (Michelle Stafford), Sharon (Sharon Case) woke up behind the wheel at the side of the same road.
Nick managed to keep the accident on the down low. Just Summer, Victor, and Nikki were aware of what was happening outside on the property. Since then, Sharon confessed to Heather’s murder, and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) had the charges dropped against him.
Now that the real suspect has not only been charged but confessed, Phyllis and Daniel demand justice for Heather (Vail Bloom). But is anyone as fired up as they are to see that she is punished?
Hello from the other side
Ian Ward (Ray Wise) has a master plan, and it involves destroying Sharon’s life. He’s been intensely combing the news looking for any sign of personal fallout for Sharon since she confessed to murdering Heather. Dissatisfied with the news coverage, or lack thereof, he ordered Jordan (Colleen Zenk) to put on a disguise and go investigate for first-hand accounts from Sharon’s family.
Now that the word is out that they had Sharon's pills tainted with PCP, it’s time for Ian to hit the streets of Genoa City himself. On Tuesday, Ian puts on a hat and sunglasses and goes to get the information he seeks. However, that means being in close proximity to people who would recognize him.
On Tuesday's episode of The Young and the Restless, Ian crosses paths with someone from his past.
