What to expect on The Young and the Restless

On Thursday, November 14, 2024, hold onto your seats because there is a plot twist you did not see coming. As the wedding continues, there’s a mix of conversations at the Newman ranch house, and Nick makes a shocking discovery.

Billy (Jason Thompson) got some disturbing news from Jill (Jess Walton) before heading to the ceremony. Jill told him to cancel Lily’s (Christel Khalil) new contract and that she was stripping Billy of his control of Chancellor.

Despite doing everything his mom outlined in her ultimatum, Jill made it seem as though Billy somehow screwed up, and he was fired. In reality, Victor (Eric Braeden) bought Chancellor from Jill, and he gave the CEO position to Nikki.

Billy wants answers from Jill, but she hasn’t given them. She only keeps saying that “she has no choice” but to fire him. On Thursday, Jill stands her ground with Billy.

How will Billy react when he finds out that the truth is not that he is being fired because he screwed up but because his mom let Victor win and had no confidence in him?

Victor warned Billy to keep the day about his niece and let Abby and Devon enjoy their day. Will Billy be able to do that when he finds out that Victor bought Chancellor?

The other power struggle

Now that Victor has Chancellor, he has other matters at hand to deal with. Despite recently giving Kyle (Michael Mealor) the satisfaction of running Glissade, Victor has a new plan.

Diane (Susan Walter) tempted Victor with the ability to upset Jack (Peter Bergman) even more by hiring Diane. She suggested that Victor fire Kyle and place her at the helm of Glissade. Will that move have the effect that Diane wanted? Or is Victor onto her plan with Jack to save their family?

Jack wasn’t expecting to see Diane at the wedding, but with so many ears around, everyone needs to keep their conversations in check.

Phyllis and Sharon

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) couldn’t believe her luck when Sharon (Sharon Case) texted and said she was ready to tell the truth. She asked Phyllis to meet at Sharon’s house and wanted to make a deal. Phyllis raced right over, but crashed on the way there.

Phyllis is unconscious inside the burning vehicle. One person won't help her, but another one will — but will they be too late?

Meanwhile, Sharon couldn’t find her phone, so it wasn’t her texting Phyllis. Lately, Sharon has been blacking out. On Thursday, Sharon has a rude awakening — but wait until you see how. Sharon's not thinking this time and seems to have said too much. Will Nick finally catch on?
