Here are The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, December 26, 2024.
What to expect on The Young and the Restless
Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) Christmas wasn’t expected to be enjoyable, being the first one without Heather (Vail Bloom). Lucy (Lily Brooks O’Briant) went to bed early, and Summer (Allison Lanier) left to see Harrison (Redding Munsell). Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) missed seeing them on Christmas Eve as she was telling off Michael (Christian LeBlanc), Lauren (Tracey Bregman), and Sharon (Sharon Case).

What Daniel didn’t expect was for his mom to drop a big load of coal on him later that evening. When Phyllis blew in through his door, she told Daniel that Sharon had a new defense: that a third party was in the apartment and killed Heather. That news was devastating and made Daniel envision Heahter’s last moments all over again in a fresh but disturbing way. Additionally, Phyllis said she may never forgive Nick (Joshua Morrow) or Michael again for supporting Sharon and her ever-changing account of what happened that night. Phyllis knew it was tortuous for Daniel, and the new version of her confession was extremely upsetting for him.
On Thursday, Daniel challenges Nick’s support of Sharon. He is angry that she can just keep changing her statement, and everyone goes along with it. But he also thinks Nick wouldn’t accept it in blind faith or on a whim. Daniel wonders if there is more substance to the story; if so, he wants to know the details.
An offer too bad to refuse
Just because Victor (Eric Braeden) won the battle for Chancellor didn’t mean that he’d won the war, and Billy (Jason Thompson) wasn’t throwing in the towel. Instead, he pivoted his anger towards Victor into a new plot for revenge and went to Phyllis to ask her to team up with him.
Phyllis fought back against her instinct to join in, but now she’s having second thoughts. Her revenge against Sharon isn’t working too well, and she has a grudge against Victor. She also wants to feel “something” and have the redemption and respect of others that she has never had.
On Thursday, Billy presents Phyllis with a tempting offer. Daniel made Phyllis promise not to team up with Billy — or at least give it a lot of thought beforehand, knowing the risk and consequences it would likely bring. But Phyllis has a lot of feelings going on right now and diving in with Billy might be the comfort zone she so desperately seeks.
Chance or no chance
Summer and Chance put their relationship on pause when she realized that he didn’t try to save Daniel from murder charges. Chance insisted he handled the case perfectly, but Summer was infuriated that Chance didn’t protect her family, and wouldn’t even consider any other suspect or pursue any other evidence, even though she knew he’d been presented with it.
Now that they’ve had a cooling-off period, it’s time to talk about their status and what to do next. On Thursday, Summer and Chance discuss their relationship. Will they get back together, or is this the end?
